I want to characterize this as "in the alley," even though I know about the lack of alleys in NYC. But I think if you're this close to a business's garbage dump you are spiritually in an alley

Sometimes AI poops-out a weird, flawed gem that would be ruined if polished. I think this has a certain appeal to certain people, and I think some of you people are some of those people. If you are that 1 or so people, please enjoy this bizarre tale of poor intonation, a winged beast with a valid opinion, a homunculus, and a vibrating universe.
2026 in a nutshell: I don't mind having to manually re-set the time on my stove and microwave, because that's a small price to pay for them NOT being connected to the internet.

if I have to rely on tech companies that take governments at their word, I need them to do it all the time, not just when it hurts people

I once worked in a factory making a famous chocolate bar. Hygiene was terrible - mud and even blood would regularly find its way onto the products. Now I'll happily eat food I've dropped on the floor. People think I'm gross, but knowing what I know I can't bring myself to care.

Binance hasn’t REcovered $6B+, it’s COVERING it (reimbursing customers from company funds). Some was frozen, but Binance is not likely to recover even half.
Bad headlines like this are a big part of why I started covering crypto. Generalist reporters on deadline far too often end up repeating company spin.
@molly0xfff What I don't understand is, why any losses are the customers' to begin with and need to be covered explicitly. Wouldn't customer funds and Binance's own funds be all in the same wallet(s), and anyone's balance is just a data base entry? It would seem natural to me that the losses get booked on their own balance entry, and at no time have customer funds, or balances be affected.

This town is called xyz becasue that is a corruption of the original name based on an assumption that it was involved in this.
The actual origin of names is fascinating, because it also shows how "knowledge" - or myth - is propogated.

I do this for 17 years now with now 5 domains and I can confirm: Beyond initial setup it is low maintenance. My biggest obstacle so far was getting my smtp host whitelisted by the Deutsche Telekom because although they will always send out mails to whereever your MX record points to, they rightout refuse accepting mails via SMTP from server IPs they don't have whitelisted. And their process to get whitelisted is questionable or shitty, depending on how hardass the sysadmin is, who takes your ticket. I was lucky the first time and now it's impossible to move the service to a new server ip because the person who took my ticket just was like "FU, bro!"
