The opening is laundry detergent with a fougere drydown. There’s other top notes in there but the ‘laundry’ note is so overpowering it kind of takes over.
I was actually expecting to like it more even if not for it to be a favorite, since my hypothesis was that it introduced an inexpensive ingredient as part of a larger structure and imitators took the ingredient and left the structure. Which is true, the ingredient's just so dominant.
