Archaeologists have discovered the oldest direct evidence of psychoactive cannabis use in a Siberian tomb that was used for human and horse sacrifices, a finding that sheds light on ancient rituals and could help revive wild strains of cannabis lost to time.

Climate Change 2026

Severe to extreme heat is gripping northern Australia.

On Wednesday, Mandora in Western Australia hit 47.4°C (117.3°F), a new November record that ties the third-highest temperature ever recorded in the state.

Darwin needs four more days above 35°C (95°F) to break its record streak. Temperatures have run 2–5°C (4–9°F) above average all week.

“ À l’heure actuelle, près du tiers de l’eau potable que #Montréal produit ne se rend jamais dans les robinets des Montréalais, en raison du grand nombre de fuites qui gangrènent le souterrain de l’île.”

Ah, one of today's lucky 10_000.

Quite early and low-budget spoof (as if it wasn't obvious).

[OTOH _Dark Star_ was only partly a spoof of 2001 and partly a cheap draft of _Alien_ that was to come.]

@xgranade throwing chum on the water

Added the “make no mistakes” to the prompt, but forgot the “make it secure”. Rookie mistake.

It is a real shame that people think that this is vibecoded

we can’t see your source code but the copy on your transparency page sounds like LLM voice:

• “Your feed is people and communities, not advertising.”
• “This is a promise we keep in good faith, not a technical guarantee.”
• “Analytics let people see how their posts, profiles and communities are doing. This is everything they record, and nothing else.”
• “Eight promises:” […]

If you say you wrote some of the code by hand, cool, i don’t doubt it. But it’s still giving slop.

Also, charging money for a “plus” account on a centralized closed-source activitypub implementation is…

Lastly, it’s difficult to reconcile these two statements:

as a software engineer with over 15 years of experience

[…]

the core is closed for anti-abuse reasons

@lowqualityfacts but when the tattoo is very large, it is the person, that rotates around the gravitational center of the tattoo.
So beware, you yakuzatattoofans!

@soller Thanks!

Actually the thing I was looking at Sel4 for was I was curious if Sel4 software could be tricked into* running atop Redox, since as far as I know both all interesting kernel interactions are done via message passing, so maybe a kernel module could just translate messages.

I don't… I don't know why I wanted this. I think I was just curious if it was possible.

* Possibly recompiling it so the calls to send the "PPC" IPCs get converted into function calls to send "scheme" IPCs

@fesshole I wish you the best
