The 50+1 polling averages and forecasting model will be updated sporadically this evening as our teams add the flood of final surveys coming out this evening, and we'll lock it shortly after midnight tomorrow morning. fiftyplusone.news
It's to make video channels, podcasts, web comics, streams, or other visual or audio content on the Fediverse. You partner with a developer so you have tech help and so they can fix bugs and add features you need.
So let's say you want to make a new podcast on the Fediverse. You find out who makes podcasting software, like Castopod or Funkwhale, and you ask them to apply with you. You both get money. Then you work together to make your podcast.
@evan Ok... we do cohost a podcast but probably it's WAY too short notice for Castopod or Funkwhale to partner up, we'll just stick to the proposal we sent in, it's got us excited and it's a specific post TYPE and a kind of instance.... but we can fancy it up with tooltips, and informational tags and stuff! Dunno, we'll just have to see!!!
She by and by followed me up, and to very bad words from her to me, calling me perfidious and man of no conscience, whatever I pretend to, and I know not what, which troubled me mightily.
But I tempered myself very well, so as that though we went to bed with discontent she yielded to me and began to be fond, so that being willing myself to peace, we did before we sleep become very good friends, and so with good hearts and joy to rest.

@robertcadena Ha! When it gets larger, the trick (believe it or not) is to drop some "Florel Fruit Eliminator" in the crown, which stimulates it forming a fruit. (Florel contains a hormone used to prevent fruiting in crabapples/etc. but which stimulates the development of pineapples). I do find they have to get to about 2 feet or 3 feet wide to be able to support fruiting.... I usually have them in 15 gallon pots at that point.
@ai6yr huh. These guys are definitely more than 2 feet on the base leaves. I’ll wait a month or so for it to get past the transplant shock and I will try the florel trick
Mayor Katie Wilson sat down with KUOW’s “Soundside” Monday to share updates on her efforts to curb violence on Aurora Avenue, the ongoing search for Seattle’s next police chief, and the city’s approach to homelessness.

Environmental scientists contend that tire dust and tire fragments are one of the largest sources of plastic particle pollutants in ocean water. So far the private equity company which bought my employer has had the HR drone youngs go on an all-company email rage about how much the olds’ healthcare costs. (Guess we shouldn’t get cancer.) Now, they’re cleaning out the old folks via forced retirements.
Reminder that tomorrow in the US is Voring day, where you must fight Captain Vor in Warframe. Please check off which Captain Vors you've fought.
@ben write in for: I've never played Warframe, I'm not in the USA, and I have no idea what this is about

@mike I like that suggestion.
In less than one week we'll be celebrating the anniversary of Life After Cars with the person who got New York to understand how much better its streets could be: Janette Sadik-Khan!
Plus, music by Pondless and a screening of the new documentary from Streetfilms.
Get tickets! You won't want to miss this one.

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇
@lightweight People (and politicians?) are catching on that democracy is in existential danger. Discussions about resistance are happening within some
nations. Trouble is - the billionaire attack has been transnational for decades. Nations are easily played off against each other. Politicians with a real interest in democracy have to figure out how to reach beyond the border and work to create new rules to protect democracy globally.
@davidarnell yup. Luckily, we're legion, and collectively we're way better with available dealing with data then those institutions are, regardless of their funding.
