@niels @abekonge @jrossstocholm there is a similar lack of consensus about AT Proto Spaces. Its being written by basically one person payed for by a single American VC backed company. While Spaces maybe a great solution in the future it similarly doesn't automatically get you a userbase of people. If you look at actual usage of stuff built on AT Proto (as in using lexicons outside of Bsky) it has tiny numbers, much less then active users of the smaller fediverse userbase.

Definitely. Which is also why we are not building on Spaces. I think spaces is promising, but mainly because i like some of the other aspects of AT. I really hope a good solution is found for the PLC, but we'll see. For now, the reason people should trust Theta with their time and data, is not so much the technology it is build on, but the organizing principles which (we believe) will steer the technological choices in a good direction.

Parce que bon vu le coût des équipements qui peuvent s’additionner rapidement ça va être les parents qui vont acheter, et y'a moyen de prendre quelque chose qui correspond pas. (Par example du clignotant, ou truc trop faible de signalement)

@tante @davidgerard You both didn't ask, but Linux Mint Debian Edition LMDE is a recent contender for the "Debian without the paper cuts" trophy. It's also snap-less and integrates flatpak. Can recommend.
