Yes, the original ideas may be great, but IMHO executing it w/ slop machines devalues the result.

Heard @WFMU spinning a bunch of #DonnieIris tunes so I searched and unfortunately the dude passed last Thursday. I saw him when he opened for #TheRomantics circa 1980, got his debut album the next day and found it full of clever, well-crafted pop-rockers with a hint of #NewWave and a helluva voice. Later learned that he had quite a career even before that debut. I wish I had some whimsy to balance out tonight's gloom but I used up that energy being positive about my personal future earlier.
I am moving house, there is more space and shenanigans will be unfettered. It is not happening until at least early January. Peanut the dog is unaware but he will have a whole enclosed garden and a new house to sniff until he is satisfied.
I should point out, also, that the sniffing of Peanut the dog will never be satisfied.
There is a cat living there now and I expect that will be a heady aroma for quite some time!
Also he will have some remnants from my late Mum to sniff as we will be taking some furniture and soft furnishings from the old house.
He already goes bananas looking for her when I take him over there. This hurts me a lot so I no longer take him. I have to go over about 2-3 more times to arrange things then it will be dealt with and "in the past".
I promise you all some whimsy and silliness again in the new year!!
