Heard @WFMU spinning a bunch of #DonnieIris tunes so I searched and unfortunately the dude passed last Thursday. I saw him when he opened for #TheRomantics circa 1980, got his debut album the next day and found it full of clever, well-crafted pop-rockers with a hint of #NewWave and a helluva voice. Later learned that he had quite a career even before that debut. So long, God bless, and thank you for the music 🙏🕊️ ❤️ cc: @efd #Music #ClassicRock #RockAndRoll https://www.post-gazette.com/news/obituaries/2026/10/26/donnie-iris-pittsburgh-dies/stories/202610260040
