Servo tests thread
Will be less organized than my Redox tests thread
At some point the two threads will merge

Last used Servo a couple years ago, primarily used it by building it as a library (which means no mach, no uv). As *far as I know*, verso is dead and the recommended frontend is servoshell. I'm building that.
Thoughts:
- Recommended buildscript does use uv. Maybe a problem if you're using servo as the basis for a hashtag-noAI system
- [placeholder for a servo bug# i will edit in]
@mcc i believe the build system should still work without uv. use any tool that reads pyproject.toml (or create a virtualenv with python/requirements.txt) then run ./mach as a python script (it’s polyglot with shell)

BREAKING NEWS: $WNN (Wolf News Network) prepared to disappoint interest with $MIOTA sale #BreakingNews
This https://mas.to/@tezoatlipoca/117531121730057253 is a very interesting question. This is one of the questions I will be seeking to answer.
(Yes, I complained a lot about the quote tweet feature when it went in, but… now that I can no longer make quote tweets I miss it.)
Oh, one of the things I'll be testing alongside this is "carboxyl", which I built last night.
https://github.com/carboxyl-rs/carboxyl
This is a command-line/TUI servo frontend, like w3m. It looks great. It is one of the worst project names I've ever heard.
Servo build steps, 20261030
- Check out https://github.com/servo/servo.git , `mach bootstrap`, `mach build --release` , `mach run --release`
Carboxyl build steps:
- `cargo build --release --locked`, then it's in `./target/release/carboxyl`. At this point to proceed you MUST click in the URL bar to do anything
(This implies it's not possible to use carboxyl at all without a terminal mouse extension… and infuriatingly NEITHER carbonyl NOR carboxyl seem to have written a user guide??)
⚡️⚡️EXCITING ⚡️⚡️ #Halloween prep! We give out full size candy bars and toys to 100+ kids every year. We also donate $1 to our local food pantry for each Trick or Treat visitor. Hoping for a big night tomorrow night!

This will come as a surprise, because I am all about the partying as you know, but I have never been to Ibiza.
@neil
I remember before the first time I went, someone told me that once you've been there, you become a citizen, and it just feels like you're a tourist everywhere else. It sounds like a load of pretentious wank, but it's absolutely true. There's something wholesomely spiritual about the place. It really is 1967 again - like going back to the Garden of Eden, but with better music.

@tris ah, my apologies, completely misread!
Yeah. That too.
@jimkennedy @cyclotopie As per other toots, #fridaygeotrivia can be a very cruel game indeed
@opencage @cyclotopie No worries, I am just joking, in case that wasn't clear.
