@notptr I love finding stuff like this. It's so damn weird, and this was absolutely a niche I was all over earlier in my life.
It's so neat to be reminded of the ways the world keeps moving when you're not looking.
@theinternet Imagine you are going to buy a house. You've been told the house is worth $2T. It's a good house! But then you get there and the whole house is covered is poop! Poop everywhere! Even on the ceilings! And there are animals everywhere…pooping (internal mechanism). And suddenly, you're not sure the house was valued correctly. The poop! The poop was not valued!! 💩
@piper @theinternet just fire up the Agentic Depooper and go brrrrr
This is just so bad. Can not believe we are even considering putting this guy in charge...
@mastodonmigration Then don't.
I wonder if at this exact moment one could succeed in filing a issue against an open source project for an entirely ficticious vulnerability, get it assigned a CVE and a github score, and then get the upstream project to accept your patch for the vulnerability, with all these things presented as the issue, the CVE, and the PR being written by generative AI, but in fact you wrote them substantially by hand and the patch for your nonexistent vuln is actually a backdoor
@mcc it would be really interesting to actually try it into several projects then tell ask them to remove it in case they accepted. After getting the responses from all tried projects, we could work with that data to see how vulnerable projects are on average, how many accepted it, etc. It would b ea nice paper
@ai6yr Going to be lots of “crashes” now!
@10tothe22 I was wondering if the vehicle committed seppeku
If I wake up, then go back to sleep for an hour, I'm way more likely to have a really vivid dream that I can remember and write down when I'm fully awake. Im not a neurologist but I wonder if the first waking causes memory inhibition to stop?

@nomdeb I've pretty much sworn off Etsy, given how horrible its been to vendors (with all sorts of fees) and then this kind of stuff: https://www.wired.com/story/etsy-is-in-its-flop-era-and-sellers-are-fleeing/
@jeridansky I had seen that a year or so ago, but I have continued to shop there as I like to support makers who have no other way of reaching the public. I decided that was a trade off I was willing to make. :)

According to a press release from the United States attorney’s office for the southern district of New York,
three men
– Jacob Soall, Sharon Hazan, and Guy Sheetrit

in order to convince employees to send over large payments.
Soall and Hazan were arrested in Spain over the summer,
while Sheetrit was arrested in the United Kingdom in September.

@ai6yr No, definitely not. But I like hot sauce I can actually enjoy eating
@MLE_online LOL I prefer habaneros and less spicy, for sure. The Ghost pepper has the flavor of battery acid.
