check this out. i've added on-demand TLS directly to #GitPages, so now to serve pages over TLS all you need* is a single binary and this configuration file:
features = ["acme"]
[acme]
email = "you@example.org"
accept-tos = true
[server]
pages = "tcp/:80"
https = "tcp/:443"
* it's feature-gated for now, until dns-persist-01 becomes stable and we can automatically issue wildcard certificates for wildcard domains as well
@Serg @ami_angelwings The premise is ridiculous, but the opening song is a banger.

@yuki2501 @Serg @ami_angelwings even better in French.

Slrpnk.net is down
Looks like our servers are on the fritz again. Usually we aren’t out of commission for too long. Hopefully we are back soon.
PHP tout KC, ça nous a HEV 🤓
@MarSolRivas On dirait un slogan de manif 🤔
My current #Zola theme might be ready for 0.23:
Not quite yet. I filed a bug on the archive page, which arranges the years in apparently random order.
We like seeing real things made by real sentient beings and I'm not going to rehash the reasons "ai" sucks.
I'm proposing we ban/ask people to not use "ai" generated avatars and banners on mastodon.radio.
I'd also like to ban/ask people to not post "ai" generated stuff - for example images/posters/code
I recognise we can't stop everything, and the whole "linux kernal" thing is an issue ...
Do you (people who use mastodon.radio specifically) have any objection to this proposal?
@M0YNG No objection.
Philomena: Some people have been writing PHP for over 20 years. Is that because it's particularly difficult to finish?
Expert: No, software is constantly evolving.
Philomena: So they've been writing the same website for 20 years?
Expert: No, different projects.
Philomena: Have they tried finishing one before starting another?
Expert: That's not how software development works.
Philomena: My mate Paul spent 20 years building a shed. Turned out he was just an alcoholic.
Expert: Right.
Philomena: Is PHP like that?
Hey! In case you missed it, I release a new original/album recently! And it's a really cool and varied one. If you like music from videogames, variety in metal and you are not prejudgemental about "MIDI-sounding" stuff, you definitively have to check it! https://unknownpseudoartist.bandcamp.com/album/the-last-placeholder
And if you already listened... can you tell me your opinion or mention your favorite tracks?
If you actually seen the announcement but you don't care, no worries, that's not about you! :P

@unknownpseudoartist
I invite you to send a couple of your choons in for our LABR Bandcamp Friday show.

OH MY GOD
I realized why the vibecoder software can be "like a home cooked meal" bothers me so much https://bradfrost.com/links/post/an-app-can-be-a-home-cooked-meal/
IT'S THE STEAMED HAMS SKETCH
Someone says they're making you a home cooked meal and then they plop a Krusty Burger on your plate and call it a family recipe they made themselves
Claude: "Well vibe-coder, I made it, despite your directions."
This Ubuntu launcher concept mockups how on-device AI could be used to install apps and turn clipboard items into a calendar itinerary.
It's made by a Canonical engineer and is available to install from the Snap Store – though it's not a real, functional launcher, more of an interactive simulation.
Interesting though…

Of all of the things I expected from a town in the high Himalayas that's inaccessible by road...
...a Vengaboys cover definitely wasn't on the list.
(Video proof will have to wait for a better connection)
@grajohnt It’s good to know that even out there they know good culture
We have prop 3 coming up and the "right to work" argument
really works on naive working class people.
"right to work" is like the "free choice" of privatized healthcare.
There are plenty of "working class" people around me
that are fucking idiots and fall for all the freedom BS
arguments. Like fucking plow drivers think the world
would end without them, and i'm like hey asshole it
doesn't even snow anymore (that's hyperbole it still
snows in vermont).
Yeah, naw! We're removing humans from the wrong parts of this chain
1Password will let AI agents use your passwords without seeing them
lol lobste.rs really did directly compare chatbots to compilers, that's an official moderation position
lobsters is a polite garden party for loud AI marketers, and that's official now
absolutely fuckin slop brained. and just after pushcx finally realised nazis might be bad to have on your site.

The royal family has even moved to Brasil at one point.
Only to flee the Napoleonic wars.
@davidgerard it's a common misconception that "AI tools" refers to LLM products, when it's actually a term for their users. And I'm sure pushcx will figure out the significant overlap between AI tools and Nazis after most of the bar patrons have already left.
Sorry, the app encountered an unexpected error
