A year after the third placeholder, here we come back with a fourth one! This one is longer and even more varied, tho. Also bringing back the electronic and industrial influences that weren't that present in previous one. If you liked the second one (Another Placeholder of Another Thing) you may like this one, since it shares many similarities while still a totally new and fresh thing. As usual all tracks are 100% original, and so is the artwork and more related stuff. No collabs and no real instruments, but totally real feelings. Musically it's hard to define, but I'd say it's mostly instrumental synth metal with a wide array of influences and elements both inside and outside metal (electronic, folk, ambient, orchestral... so much of varied stuff!). So you may like or dislike, but definitively no one could say it sounds like more of the same we all are used and tired to hear everywhere nowadays. Originality and creativity is always over 9000! Just listen without fear, okay? ;) And yeah, the title "The Last Placeholder" is because this might be the latest one in the series. Whatever comes in the future is uncertain. Anyways... I hope you like. Thanks in advance for counting with us for the new trip to the Unknown Lands! «Maybe this is the end. Maybe just a new beginning. I dunno. We are back to the ruins of humanity. Ready for a new journey nobody cares about. Ready to scream loud in the middle of the desert. No self-filter, no AI, no help. Just a pure heart and a passionate mind. Welcome back to the Unknown Lands!» All tracks composed, arranged, programmed, produced, mixed, etc by Unknown Pseudoartist at New Bedroom Studios (the Ancient Computer is gone, yeah) between August 2025 - July 2026. Track 14 includes collaboration work by colorado weeks (vocals), Jett Swole (guitars) and Tuile (lyrics and individual track artwork), originally done for the community album "Dreams". https://2hts.bandcamp.com/album/dreams Track 16 (bonus track) was inspired by a drawing by This_Human2660 at ArtFight. https://artfight.net/character/8044905.d3lt4 "Made by human" sticker (used in the back cover art) by Tirifto (Farita de Homo). https://tirifto.xwx.moe/eo/blogo/2025-12-20-farita-de-homo.html No cats, birds, humans or any other animal kind was harmed. Special thanks to the people from ThaSauce, a host for music compos, especially OHC and 2HTS, where most of these songs were born. Initially done the raw, short drafts in 1 or 2 hours and later developed them a bit to have a proper full structure and slightly better mix. Still pretty much a bunch of demos, tho. Maybe someday I'll pick some of these songs and recruit a ton of talented performers to make them shine as deserved.
