Apple Support: ‘About the Illuminated Apple Logo on MacBook Pro With PROLED XDR Display’
https://daringfireball.net/linked/2026/11/06/apple-support-illuminated-apple-logo
@daringfireball Any idea how far in advance they have to prepare for the special events? It’s a lot of work to pull that off, seamlessly, in a different location than they typically use so I can’t imagine the logistics of that.

#defaidodonday A picture from grazing days this summer.
**note, dating someone based on shared interests I think is probably actually not a great long term relationship strategy. I know it's the normal thing, but at least for most people whose interests change over time (and not in sync), probably not great to think you'll always have the same interests etc. (if you ever did). ps. do not take my dating advice 🤪
@ai6yr My partner and I say we get along so well because we have no interests in common -- e.g., she isn't interested at all in bicycles and I hate baseball -- so we have nothing to argue about.
@KekunPlazas Fortunately, /e/OS is not just Duval.
@Sylvhem I hope you are right and he's just some bad apple that the project will take care of.
I never would have guessed.
@lowqualityfacts and, as we know, comedians get their sense of humor from their teeth!
@gael So you are suggesting to make fascism better, sure.
@KekunPlazas tu proposes quoi, très concrètement, avec ta position dogmatique ?
Just posting to say I'm still home. I've had my most violent seizure ever less than 48 hours ago. I was in bed, thankfully.
My heart has been putting me in trouble since then. I'm getting a bit better tonight, but have been in tachycardia all the time even at rest or when waking up. I'm below 120bpm when standing up today, which is a huge win already...
I'm not as much in pain otherwise I'd have been to the ER, but it's still really bothering and tiring
@Testoceratops i won’t complain about my pulse getting stuck at 90-101 any more.
Can’t imagine sitting at 120 bpm
@DeliaChristina make them sweat on holding trump and everyone else accountable too

Part of the Blue tsunami is the high engagement of these voters who are now going to be digging into the real politics of their liberal Blue electeds. Voters are motivated now.
This is where the '....No matter who' is bullshit.
The glow is wearing off and the people expect shit to get done and their rep to deliver on those promises.
I hope they make their electeds STRESSED.
BOOT to NECK, y'all.
Make those Libs break a sweat.
Make em sweat over their AIPAC//United Front for Democracy money.
Make em sweat over data center capitulation.
Make em sweat for sucking Corporate JeffriesSchumer 🍆.
Make em sweat for mealy-mouthed incrementalism.
Make them sick of you.
Everyone can catch these electoral hands.
@GlasWolf I understand that they can return from quite some distance!
@neil So had I - maybe especially so if they've developed a taste for peanut butter!

thing about roombas is, if you see one going begging, the filthier it is the more likely it is to actually work just fine
Like this thing had so much crap in its front wheel that it'd no longer turn, which is probably how it started throwing errors in the first place, hence ending up in goodwill, so 2 minutes of cleaning and it comes back to life and NOTHING is worn on this machine, the cogs in the brush head are bright white, the wheels are immaculate, it just failed because it wasn't taken care of and now with minimal effort it's back to working just fine
Now compare that to one of my roombas who've been dutifully maintained and cleaned until literally every part of them is 100% shagged out
In case you missed, Gaël Duval from /e/OS and Murena is an ableist AI bro who calls anti-AI "low IQ" and whines when he is called a fash. If you want a better mobile ecosystem, /e/OS and Murena aren't what you are looking for.
@KekunPlazas Fortunately, /e/OS is not just Duval.
@deepmud Interesting. The recent Smartwool have been extremely prone to damage, I wonder if they are now way too processed? (ie very soft but therefore, also more fragile)
@ai6yr very likely. Smartwool sounded great to begin with, but it's not so good as all that
