This blowout is a mandate for whatever the person talking about it wants.

Instead just ask the elected to continue to advocate for what they said they would. To be vocal re those concerns. To contribute to the public discussion. And then thoroughly explain why they ended up voting however they do. This is our best way to avoid the manipulation of understanding and what gets passed by outside interests.

If you "don't have any ideas", then do random stuff. Try things. Mess around.

Exercise your creativity.

Don't wait for inspiration. Inspire yourself.

At least for me, nothing fills my brain with artistic ideas in the same way that dedicating time to making things even when I "don't have ideas" does.

Advice for anyone who wants to make art:

Make art.

I've been focused on paper quilling for a few days & new ideas for designs keep popping into my head. I close my eyes & see swirling paper.

This is what happens when I consistently do creative work. I go from having no ideas to having too many.

When I sit down & start working on something at random without knowing what I want to make or what it could look like, it gets my brain in gear, & THEN the ideas come. To make art, you gotta make art.

@cwebber i used it briefly, but i couldn't get idle detection stuff to work properly. it's supposed to be compatible with swayidle, from what i read, but it would lock or go to sleep in the middle of using it all the time and i couldn't fix it.

if anybody figures that out i would love to try it again

I see your point.

The way that you've written it may imply the argument being whether it matters who one votes as no matter how much any of those is evil since they both are.

The way I see it is similar with the difference being that lesser evil is always preferable.

It is (in my experience) better to see parties as foes and better foe is always preferable.
