Ha ha, I found a pic of my first car and the group that tended to ride in it. Needless to say, we got pulled over by hick cops A LOT. #punkrock
Framework Laptop 12 (2026) Review: The Linux MacBook Neo alternative?
Circle Up!
One of Bonfire's premiere social features is Circles, which is kind of like a hybrid between an Access Control list and a Mastodon collection. We've been testing this feature for a while, and one of the more interesting use-cases has involved creating Starter Packs for Discovery purposes.
Circles can also be used to create custom feeds in Bonfire, which we're continuing to experiment with. If you're using Fedizen, you can follow everyone in a circle at the click of a button!
Feel free to check out two of our public circles:

Adobe suite on Linux (twice), Flathub says yes to AI - Linux Weekly News
Police in Australia charged a driver with intentionally striking federal lawmaker Helen Haines with his car. The suspect’s father released a statement calling Haines a “friend” and the attack “devastating and unfathomable.” Read more from @AssociatedPress
@david @Dio9sys So? If you go commercial you can always find new customers. This shit happens to literally every community who tries this. Also i think you give furries way too much credit. "Good" can mean many things. And if simple entertainment is what someone rates as good, then money can easily fix that problem.
The second track was by a band called Sea Ghost. I don't know exactly what horrible thing went on with that band, but I know they were marred by tragedy, someone died, and none of the remaining members talk about it (or to me)
The third track was by John Thefruitman, AKA Nelson Crawford, the producer and sometimes host of Working Class Music and producer of most New Ellijay Television material.
@mrgrumpymonkey if that means that it takes the laundry from the hamper and putting it in the washer and then the dryer as well as folding them all afterwards then... yes?
@Mrfunkedude We just call that automation.
No, no, don't answer that, I know why. It's because Bluesky treats "feeds" as important. Nobody on Bluesky actually seems to *use* "feeds", but you wanted to be like Bluesky, so you renamed lists to "feeds" and tore useful features such as "making posts" out of the interface to make more space for a giant vertical banner begging us to use the "feeds" feature. The compose box is now clinging desperately to the screen trying not to fall off
I was trying to hold back at least a LITTLE on being mean about the interface because the initial blog post seemed at least a little bit principled but no, fuck this, this is VC shit. This is the shit where a PM wants to goose numbers on feature use upward someone was using their "feature" so they shove it in your face. Except it's happening at a *nonprofit* with like four employees so I can't fathom why they'd bother?!

So we released a comp of local musicians called "Kill The Scene"
And we opened it with that track.

@stux I am sure it's ironic. There IS a guy who reverse engineered the whole Adobe suite and put it on Github for free. He used Claude and it took him two weeks. Or so I saw on YouTube. Doing that to Windows 😜 would be interesting.

Love this @mmasnick yarn on the importance of digital ownership (to the highest degree possible!) — and not relying on Zuckerberg or any other tech giant to keep your best interests at heart. https://www.techdirt.com/2026/10/20/accident-or-not-the-no-kings-takedown-is-why-you-shouldnt-rent-your-megaphone-from-zuck/
