@stux greatest plot twist I’ve seen
@stux Or maybe it's satiric, which apparently is not easy for a lot of people to see right away, given the comments.
@stux soooo nepotism then. Not hard work. Nepotism. If you really wanted to prove that you were worthwhile, maybe work at a different company? Just saying.
@stux I'm not saying people like Aleks didn't achieve anything on their own or didn't contribute anything. I'm sure they did something right and helped speed things along. However, I'm also saying that they are DELUSIONAL if they persuade themselves that their results and impacts would have been the same, had the CEO not been their dad. Utterly delusional. And so people like Aleks go forth into this world assuming that everyone could do what they did. Bollocks!
@stux Let me tell you from experience, he's nothing special. One stumble or medical event and he's gone, and they will replace him in the blink of an eye.
@stux
I agree with the words and i love the irony hidden in brackets.
@stux I think lots of children of executives struggle. /s
@stux Every company I have worked for has or had nepotism problems. I used "had" in there because some of those companies are no longer in business due partly to nepotism. The employees who got boosted up the ladder by nepotism were mostly dead weight from there on, if they weren't already.
Did some value stream mapping with outside consultants at one of those companies. The accurate numbers don't lie. Soon there were some personnel changes made and only one of the nepotism factors remained.
@stux This has to be a poe. No way could someone be that oblivious.
The "dad" reference adds absolutely nothing to the author's delusional tale of success.
This is the only thing of value he's likely ever created ... and it was inadvertent.
Onion-worthy amazing.
@stux "When I was a lad I served a term / As office boy to an Attorney's firm..."
@stux this is proof positive that brackets do the heavy lifting
@stux obviously parody
Every turn I gave the wheel on the end of my sewing machine MOVED THE NEEDLE!
It's worrying to see people not realizing this is satire.
@stux
It feels exactly like an Arab country. You can’t get a job unless you know someone inside. But if you have the right connections, you become a prince just because the king kissed your ass.
@stux Absolutely nothing to do with his dad. He just created value.
@stux I was going to link to more of this guys shitbaggery, but people should just do a websearch. It's really DOGE-y stuff except the US doesn't have a monopoly on this kind of entitled abled white male shithead. He's based in Toronto (don't know where he hails from, though).
It is a watercannon of absolute bullshit, but he gets somewhere because he's male, white, and connected.
@stux Ah yes, observe: the young nose blind nepotism-beneficiary LinkedIn Lunatic. Often flocking amongst fellow members of it's own 'elite' class of nose blind nepotism-beneficiaries
@stux He listened to his dad, to eventually discover he was son of a multimillionaire. The time taken for these relevant discoveries is crucial, to show off own abilities.
Compared to who never discovers to be mentally retarded, this is a good result.
@stux so the shortcut is a rich dad, I’ll get right on that
@stux This can be a satirical post or a real one. It's hilarious either way.
@stux
I genuinely can't tell if it's satire or not and this tells a lot about our world...
@stux https://podcastle.org/people/aleks-wittkamp/ Pffffffffffft..Bwahahaha!
'Aleks Wittkamp is out there every night making moves. People wonder how he can possibly kill it so hard, and the only answer he can give them is that he was born to slay. On the rare occasion that his body is tired, he guzzles down a gallon of pineapple juice and dashes off an atomic narrative bomb before getting back out there to crush it some more. He lives his massive life in Toronto, Canada.'
@stux He lost me when he brought up his CEO dad.
'INDUSTRY IN SHOCK AS CIS WHITE DUDE FAILS UPWARDS IN CORPORATE WORLD'
Hold the fucking front page.
@stux
"the CEO (my dad)"
*steps down from soap box*
@stux haha "before the CEO – my dad – promoted me".
@stux "the CEO (my dad)"
@stux „if you want to know more, here you can hoin my video-course for 99.99$“ ;)
@stux Oh, so nepotism then! Got it 😅
@stux Maybe he's born with it
Maybe it's nepotism
@stux I can't tell if this is satire or just a person genuinely lacking self awareness...I mean *three whole years* noodling on projects before his *dad* made him SVP?! Clearly, that's a sign of hard work and talent. lol
