How to expand a Control object to fill its H/Vbox container in Godot 4
Been struggling with this for too long before discovering this, made this video so you don’t have to.
Tested with Godot 4.8, but this feature has probably been around since 4.0.

[Discussion] How do you (unit-)test your shaders?
Hey all! I’ve been thinking about how to best unit-test my shader code, since TDD has been very helpful for me. But I’ve been able to find surprisingly little information. If possible, I’d love to hear from your experiences!
@Beachbum Disagree. He is a terrible choice for leader. His popularity is 13%. Whenever he speaks people cringe. We need a compelling leader who can galvanize the country in these challenging times. The widely despised Chuck Schumer is not that guy.

He accompanied me as I stocked our two meager toy racks in the cafe with an assortment of holiday themed ninja turtles, children's classics, hiphop stars, kaiju, and characters allegedly from dungeons and dragons.

I also took an opportunity to make a display table at checkout for Saturday AM's assortment of manga, including their genuinely very good "how to draw diverse manga".

For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.
How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

@clacke Indeed, Sichuan peppers activate nerve endings in the lips and gums, which you can test by eating Sichuan food soon after having gum surgery, though you would be very much better off just taking my word for it instead.
@clacke I have a friend who is extremely sensitive to anything spicy, but she found sichuan pepper pleasant. We both experience it as some sensation different from spicy.

@NorcalGma2 @darwinwoodka Just verified, it looks like Costco is required in California to haul away old mattresses, but they do charge a recycling fee ($18.00 flat rate).
@ai6yr @NorcalGma2 @darwinwoodka We usually take advantage of retailers in Tokyo that will deliver the new item, install as appropriate (e.g., washing machine, A/C), and take away the old one. It’s usually priced into the product.
Yeah, I am trying to get over a sort of overwhelm at the riotous variety of biologically relevant molecules.
Interesting to see the molecules, but I always separated them by physiological reactions.
Piperine makes me sneeze, but it takes a lot to burn.
Capsaicin burns my mouth and lips.
Ginger helps clear my pharynx and throat.
Mustard goes straight up my nose and clears out my nasal hairs.
Sanshool bites the tip of my tongue.
And whatever is in haberneros can burn on the way out.
