@lwtcdi @thec @joojmachine @cassidy I'm curious if there's been any talk of having some sort of notification dot built into the Background Apps system in Gnome?
Like, there could be a dot at the System indicators, and when you click it the Background apps thing is already open, with a dot on the application that has a notification for you.
One could maybe also customize which app has which color, so that one can know at a glance which app wants your attention.

@forteller @thec @joojmachine @cassidy I am really not fan of this reinventing of the wheel. I'd personally like some foldable menu on the panel itself, with a currently-having-a-notification app getting placed on the panel, and going back to the folding menu once read

JD Vance is already trying to slither away from Trump. After the GOP’s midterm wipeout, he’s blaming the Iran war and pretending he had nothing to do with it.
But let’s not forget who made JD: Peter “The Antichrist Guy” Thiel, the Silicon Valley billionaire behind the tech right’s alliance with MAGA.
As Vance eyes 2028, he may think he can outrun Trump’s baggage. He can’t outrun the shadow of his Thiel-backed rise.
