I just tried fairscan and it worked well first go (unlike any of the ones I tried on f-droid years ago) and produced an OK PDF - the old Genius Scan v7.15.1 apk I fished off my old phone may be slightly better but they are close enough it doesn't matter. cool.
@ElaineActivism thanks for connecting! I'm going to try an installation in the next week or so 😊 you have motivated me...
Let's get something very very clear. Investigating and prosecuting criminal wrongdoing is not optional.
If crimes have been committed, and they certainly have, the Democrats don't get to decide to look the other way.
This is a fundamental precept of the #RuleOfLaw.
These people have sworn an oath to the Constitution that commands them to follow the truth and protect it no matter what the consequences.

BBC: Kellogg's admits snap, crackle and pop is quieter after uproar over Rice Krispies recipe change
"...Rice Krispies and Coco Pops are no longer being made with whole rice grains, with the tiny toasted puffs being made using corn flour and rice flour instead....
Kellogg's said the recipe change in the UK would help "maintain consistent quality" as extreme weather takes a toll on crops and pushes up ingredient prices.
Extreme weather in Spain in 2022 and 2023 in particular had reduced availability of the types of rice the company uses for its breakfast cereals, the company said..."
Okay, who do I have to grease to get on the "Who to follow" list on here???
@Mrfunkedude just 191 more would get you the golden ticket!
Nobody should talk to me today because I do not share in the general jubilation over election results. We’ve been here before. Obama 2008. Biden 2020. This is a big step, but it’s just the first step. Will the Democrats have the backbone to make the structural change that America requires?

Happy ApeFest Day to all who celebrate! On this date in 2023, more than 60 collectors of the the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs who attended ApeFest in Hong Kong woke up blind after experiencing "welder's flash" from high intensity UV strobe lights at a dance party. #otd
I don’t find inspiration in people gleefully giving power over their lives to a slightly different set of politicians.
I find inspiration in people taking power back from politicians and destroying the seats of power.
First Muslim U.S. senator (Michigan).
First openly gay U.S. senator (New Hampshire).
First Black woman governor (Georgia).
First Latina and first Mexican-American governor of Texas.
First Native American woman governor (New Mexico).
First Native American woman U.S. senator (New Mexico).
First transgender state legislator (Alabama).
Wow, I can't believe I've completed the set and participated in four tracks, one for each of the four #bonkwave compilation albums in 'The Four Seasons of Bonk Wave'.
Before this community re-awoke me I hadn't really done any music for 15 years after feeling shamed away from it!
Thank you, you lovely bunch!
The four tracks ...

@ethicalrevolution
And I love all four! (The dog one even as more of a cat person.)
Haymarket Books has all ebooks 80% off for the next 3 days! Most of them are $2 each and they work on basically any device!
Crypto and AI spent $250m in the midterms "in hopes of picking the lawmakers who will decide how — or whether — their industries will be regulated ... nearly three-quarters of their money went to the competitive races, and there, they got clobbered." https://www.citationneeded.news/2026-election-results/
@farah They could, but they keep voting for liberals who aren’t interested in fighting fascism.
@majorlinux thats a good point

Yes, yes, yes. LOTS of judicial seats were on the ballot this election in my district, and I was all over that thing. Lots of dems running for office in a county that's been red as hell my whole life. I'm SO glad I went to vote (forgot it was a midterm and that's why I was able to get in so quickly). The "Moral Majority" crap from the 1980s still holds a stranglehold in these parts the way folks act; it's no wonder fearmongering republican messages have basically been the main page of the playbook (and in some elections, the ONLY page).
I had to snicker when I saw all those political ads the past few months at work because the republican ads were always the same: fear, fear, fear! It was all fear about trans folks in locker rooms and taxes going up that I saw on TV. They couldn't even post ads about Paxton or Abbott's record and how much it benefited Texas. the only ads I saw about those two were testimonials from family members about what good men they were and how proud they were of their public service.
Yeah, it was time for a change.
Elon and all the other tech CEOs crying and saying "I guess we have to put datacenters in space now where else is there for us" as they launch a bunch of datacenter satellites into orbit that will never fucking work or be repairable
But spending means making money and the gain is in the churn, results are secondary. Financialization has become its own end. Not doubting though that they believe their own Manifest Destiny bullshit.
