As expected this morning, the media is all about characterizing pursuing accountability as retribution, and restoration of the #RuleOfLaw as vindictiveness.
#WeThPeople can not let this propaganda effort sidetrack the important work of saving democracy by driving these fascist criminals out of power.

I found that for (pretty sure) NBC & ABC require feedback through their app. I’m not giving them my contact info, so I have been able to reach an affiliate once or twice.
Let's get something very very clear. Investigating and prosecuting criminal wrongdoing is not optional.
If crimes have been committed, and they certainly have, the Democrats don't get to decide to look the other way.
This is a fundamental precept of the #RuleOfLaw.
These people have sworn an oath to the Constitution that commands them to follow the truth and protect it no matter what the consequences.

The only way that will happen is if masses of people force them to do it.
@mastodonmigration Investigating is necessary. Prosecuting is going to be a problem, since the DoJ remains compromised. I have a couple of ideas:
- When possible, refer cases to a state for prosecution.
- Bring back Inherent Contempt.
@jef By all means at their disposal. This is a war for democracy and the #RuleOfLaw. If DOJ does not perform their constitutional duties, they they need to be held to account, and individually suffer any consequences for their actions. We need to understand that we have power now, and use it aggressively.
For the media to cast such investigation and enforcement as arbitrary and capricious shows how far they have strayed into acceptance of tribalism and authoritarian principles.
"We are a nation of laws, not men." The media needs to stop characterizing our society as competing teams and regain the perspective that the nation is founded on the #RuleOfLaw, with our elected representatives bound to those strictures.
