Я ожидал, что покажут историю разработки серии (или хотя бы часть этой истории), насытят ее геймдевелоперской жизухой, украсят персональными конфликтами между харизматичными разрабами в студии (да черт побери, об одной только музыке в серии можно снять полнометражку!) и, разумеется, коснутся скандальности GTA. Вместо этого, фильм решил по исторически интересным частям пройтись по верхам, и сфокусироваться только на скандальности, а персонажа в фильме вообще по сути только два - Сэм Хаузер и Джек Томпсон. Остальные - просто никто и звать их никак. О том, что в кадре, оказывается, был Дэн Хаузер я вообще узнал только из титров.
Сама режиссура тоже так себе. В кадре много сетапов, и мало панчлайнов. "О, чувак, который обвиняется в шпионаже взял сигареты со стола (отдельным шотом и крупным планом) и предложил выйти покурить - наверное, там диктофон, наверное это куда-то пойдет - а, нет, это никуда не идет, это просто режиссер решил подсветить совершенно неважную вещь" - вот такого плана.
@drq геймдевелоперскую штуку Rockstar этому фильму не дали. Они вообще не участвовали в его создании. По сути это фильм по книге журналиста, который долго собирал информацию о студии, скандалах и тд, и выпустил книгу в итоге через несколько лет. Сами Rockstar отозвались о фильме негативно, а Take-Two вообще пытались запретить релиз фильма из-за нарушения авторских прав. Музыка по тем же причинам бы не прошла.
По ходу фильма у меня вообще было чувство, что его словно снимали в спешке, мол сейчас возможность выпустить есть, а потом её не будет, отсюда и своеобразная режиссура, но это мои додумки уже.
@grishka Businesses today are absolutely drunk and intoxicated with ‘speed’. You either produce something quickly, or with quality. It’s extremely rare to have both. We sadly live in the era of ‘good enough’, and we should definitely avoid developing too much tolerance for what feels good enough.

Got bowel cancer and ended up with a stoma. Its not that bad tbh but one thing I do really miss is the ability to pass wind. The satisfaction of letting rip a big fart, especially ones that make you laugh has gone forever. Cherish your farts people, each one is a precious gift.
