Do not discard them. Try to find another home, and if you can't, we will take them, give them a home, and either find a use for them or pass them on to someone who will.
Eventually.
@ColinTheMathmo
OK, you're on. If no one else wants them it would be good if you are able to help find new homes.
We just don't have the time or headspace to do that right now.
Where abouts are you?

Lemmy doesn’t really have much in the way of an “algorithm” and it really shows with stuff like this.
Mbin can combine posts like that and show comments from all of them, but I think it shows all posts in the main post view, it only combines the comments. I really hope in the future Lemmy combines crossposts into one posts. It’s something an app could do. But I’d love to see it in the default UI so it hopefully encourages all apps to support it too.
This morning I've started reading "Capoiera, The History of an Afro-Brazilian martial art" by Matthias Röhrig Assunção.
After a bit more than fourty pages, I can say I really like this book already. I wanted to learn more about its roots and Brazilian history, so I'm glad I've picked this book because it goes deeply into it.
Sharing in case anyone'd be interested too, and to say what I'm up to!

Piefed web interface does stack comments if cross posted, so I’m guessing the poster isn’t bothering to cross post if it isn’t showing that way in Intersellar.

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇

the claude watermarks don't even work that well, but they are 100% worth it in pissbaby piss

@davidgerard Interesting. I like that it's not something stupid where it only applies to copy-pasted output or something like that.
Also completely unsurprising that they could've had this implemented all along but are only doing it now because the EU has said they have to.
Binance doesn't serve Americans, but it's running a promo rewarding users abroad for holding the Trump family's stablecoin, USD1.
The reward? WLFI, another Trump family World Liberty token. First-time USD1 holders get a bonus.

WlFI? whoa! This is worthless!
With #BSD, you gotta love the tinkering. Luckily I do.
I just had a huge #FreeBSD breakthrough on my 2017 HP Pavilion (Intel/Nvidia) laptop.
For the longest time, I couldn't get X to work.
Well I just tried to use the Nvidia GPU instead of the Intel (which is what Linux, #NetBSD and #OpenBSD use).
The Nvidia works. I now have X in FreeBSD on a USB-connected HDD.
And so I feel extremely confident in saying: AI cannot create art, because there is no mind there to be invited into. There's no decider behind the choices, there's no particular reason things are this way and not that way. It might as well all be static. While AI may be able to create a (bad) *product*, it can never create art.
end/
I've said before that the work is the art and the artifact is just the byproduct, and maybe this is an elaboration of that idea. The artifact is not just evidence of the art, it is an invitation into that art, an invitation in to the mind that created it. A rich and rewarding experience of finding yourself swimming in the thoughts of another.

Do I try to cook despite having been crying with pain today?
Or do I abandon my plans and be distressed cos my autism wants to stick to the plan?
@alexisbushnell I vote abandon, but only you can choose your answer.
I'm sorry.
@haverholm that's the special AI coding meaning of "clean room", which is "absolutely encrusted in shit which you stole"
@davidgerard @haverholm It tends to lend credence back to the notion of security through obscurity. Codegooners are only marginally less likely to rip off stuff which targets OSes and APIs which are "off the beaten track" for them, even if the stuff kills agentic attacks stone dead.
Got my first-ever email from a person I actually know that smelled strongly of AI. I'm fortunate it took this long, I guess. But still. Ew
Y'all my book is coming out in a month and now it has a COVER holy SHIT
