Did I just reinvent the product development lifecycle? Yes.
Is it better? Hell yes.

It’s like they come almost parallel with self awareness then panic and intentionally jackknife in to a tree. To own the libs or something.

I saw a clip from Jordon Klepper or similar, covering CPAC. Ranswami had just given a speech and one of the attendees said:
he said a lot of things I like, but I just can’t support him… because of 911. 😂
@david Im on ElementaryOS / PantheonDE at the momment, but if I were running something more minimalist, or were putting together my own environment from parts; id REALLY love to build it around a deskbar like launcher, and a spatial file manager.
@trashheap Interesting choices. I think I'd like a spatial file manager only with a tiling window environment, if I had a bigger monitor. Otherwise I think I'd get fed up with moving folder windows around.

We are going to have bloodshed no matter what, when state power feels threatened it will lash out violently, we don’t get to decide this.
There is already bloodshed, and there always was, states fundamentally rely upon violence to enforce their interests both domestically and internationally. The point is to finally stop this cycle.
Personally, I feel that our best hope lies in parallel power structures, so the best place to start with that would be in trying to organise members of your community to get together and sort x problem yourselves. It doesn’t matter what the problem is, it’s fine to start anywhere, it just seems to me that an important step is in people realising how much power they have when they work together.
Everything else happens through protest and voting at a variety of levels.
That is just simply not true, unless you use a very broad definition of protest which goes up to and including the Coal Wars, but given the general sentiment I expect you have calmly marching along and begging for your masters to consider you for once in mind.
Even if it was true, you still haven’t attempted to address the power problem that I discussed at length (that being the point of my comment, not the broad solutions that you appear to deem a requirement), I have fulfilled your arbitrary demand, now please answer what I actually said.
No thanks. You’ve just admitted your position that you expect, and welcome, bloodshed as a necessary part of progress.
I have no interest in engaging with an anarchist who won’t even consider peaceful progress as an option to pursue.
Have a great day/night!

Meta’s Threads is also working toward ActivityPub compatibility, which would significantly expand the fediverse user base.
Um… fuck no, please and thank you!
If you have any questions about using Mastodon or the wider Fediverse, please post them in the replies and I'll try to find you some answers.
It would be especially nice to hear from new people and people who aren't confident about technical matters. There is absolutely no such thing as a silly question! 🙂
