@ai6yr elevator music. You just need an elevator!
But really, it wasn't bad background music. I recall playing with Legos and my mother listening to stuff like this.
And Carly Simon. Carly Simon on the record player meant, "go outside".

Just got a 750$ car bill dropped on my lap just before having to go on a long trip to Canada. Coolant system AGAIN! Anything helps.

[Discussion] How do you (unit-)test your shaders?
Hey all! I’ve been thinking about how to best unit-test my shader code, since TDD has been very helpful for me. But I’ve been able to find surprisingly little information. If possible, I’d love to hear from your experiences!
@FediTips vs what I see
Just for reference, here's what I see. I'm using the official web interface.
@ai6yr
Exercise won't help with any of those, and can be a really bad idea for some of them. Take it easy 🤗
@me_valentijn Yeah, good point.
@GrapheneOS @lumiworx @tpaau17db does "officially supported alternative" mean the same keys are used for the os?
And does that mean it would pass strong play integrity?
@farshidhakimy @lumiworx @tpaau17db No, it will be signed by our keys and it won't be a Google certified OS. It may end up being able to have green verified boot state but it won't change anything about the Play Integrity API not permitting it.
Google banning using GrapheneOS for Google Pay and any apps choosing to explicitly adopt the Play Integrity API device or strong integrity levels to gate access to their services isn't solved by having official support from an OEM or green verified boot.
Allergies? Upper respiratory virus? Side effect of recent dental work? The plague? Ebola? Captain Trips? t-Virus? Bitten by Dracula? (anyway... wondering if taking a bicycle ride will help or hurt). 🤪

I finally got round to automating the renewal of the Let's Encrypt TLS cert for my HomeAssistant installation through the cunning ruse of following the documentation.
With a bit of luck, I won't get another TLS cert error :)
@neil can I just ask which documentation? I've struggled to get this working.
@frameadvance so next year we can expect your 2003 photos?
Thanks for sharing!
@jaz Haha, well, I do have some from our 2012 thrip to Scotland… (thinking face)
I've been spending time on Bluesky over the last few weeks, not posting, just reading. Not because I really want to, but because if you are interested in US election news the fedi is not a great place to get it. (Sigh.)
I am looking forward to tapering that off, though, because I do not need shit like this in my life
So I boosted a slopped cartoon about chess pieces cuddling. Turns out that account is just a constant stream of slop and one of them just happened to go a bit viral.
The OG artist of the chess carton makes a lot more wholesome and cute comics.
It makes me angry that the slop version is getting spread so far and wide while the originals aren't.
Go take a break from your day and enjoy these: https://www.wawawiwacomics.com/comics

Ah I saw an overall post soemwhere, not specific election race breakdowns. Dammit white people. Jesse Waters shouldn't be so mad then!
@bich @JackMexa4 @susiemagoo @blogdiva
I haven't seen the quotes, but he's probably the Mirror Universe version of my feelings: wtf is wrong with white people? Why would anyone vote for that authoritarian pondscum in the GOP??
New blogpost:
"Upgrading my Airsoft rifle"
No, no more tinkering.
Probably.
Upgrading my Airsoft rifle
In my fucking veins.

I think the "function" I serve in practice within social media communities is to write brief angry rants about Javascript or Git or Elissa Slotkin or something before going to bed and then wake up and discover I have 130 boosts. But the only thing I actually enjoy doing here is making those electronic music recommendation posts
@mcc BORN TO BE A DJ

@fluffy yeah in retrospect i should have figured it out at some point just based on being a japanese game, but my core memory of OoT crystallized some time in middle school so it never occurred to me to question it
@jepyang yeah I"d never actually really thought about it and assumed it was like "fa-roar" like most English speakers do. I haven't played the remake yet (and don't have a Switch 2 to play it on) but seeing people flip out over this led me to look stuff up.
Funnily enough the top result I found was a video from 9 months ago from someone making a claim it would be "fa-RO-ree" and that it's based on the syllable count of the three goddesses.
