We lived a few months in Ocean Falls back in the winter of 90-91. One day, the kids walked to visit friends. They called later to ask if they could spend the night there because one of the neighbors noticed their footprints in the snow had been walked on by a wolf.

My intent is to give you context for when, some time tonight or tomorrow, you see might see a news story about long lines in Harris county, or whatever. Harris county doesn't sound line anything, unless you know that's where Houston is, and this story involves 5 million people.
@jenniferplusplus not at all; I appreciated knowing the linkage between county and city. I only get to know these if I look them up, or if somebody is kind enough to tell me (as you did).
It struck me, is all, that these are very large as counties go, and I thought it was odd that Texas would have these gargantuan counties along with at least one tiny one (iirc).
Took me a couple weeks but I think I'm getting the hang of induction and doing everything on stainless steel. They were right--it really is faster and more precise than gas. I'm working on preheating my pans and have switched out to higher smoke point oils, and I can get pancakes and omelettes to slide right off now.
Still getting the hang of temperature levels--turns out a lot of my intuition was based on looking at the flame. Gotta keep practicing.
