Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
Two creators I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse are Dash and Gardiner Bryant (both work on The Bryant Review) as their content is really enjoyable.
Sadly they are the target of my post as they shares their content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇
Edit: Added Dash as she was in fact the one who published the article. Also it appears that the issue is only on mobile apps since both the browser of Lemmy and PieFed don’t have it.
Why is the new Mastodon web interface obsessed with showing me a blank column on the right? My four column layout is now a six column layout that doesn't fit in the window and also two of them are blank! This is horrible.
@jwz it's cluttered and slower. "Look at this post you wanted to read and can already read fully, but read it again in its own window."
There is definitely white space, but somehow in every wrong way. Like, I don't need Mission Control, Mastodon babes, I need to read a feed. One. One feed.
I closed every tab I could. No bueno.
now to figure out what changed ig

@navi Hopefully just typos too (or not too significant wording) ^^
Also reminds me that I haven't tried app-text/diff-pdf or app-text/diffpdf yet, probably quite useful for WG14 stuff as most participants upload PDFs.

TIL there's gyu-kaku in dubai
That's actually a very odd picture. Where is the rest of the plushie? The lady is wearing a greyt spotte top, which somehow extends to under the plushie. Does she have one giant mutant boob?
@llamasoft_ox I think she is sited with one leg crossed above her knee and the big plushie is on her lap. And the camera is raised up to the face of the plush. I think... I don't know if I'm right.
They keep coming. 🐂🐂
Got bowel cancer and ended up with a stoma. Its not that bad tbh but one thing I do really miss is the ability to pass wind. The satisfaction of letting rip a big fart, especially ones that make you laugh has gone forever. Cherish your farts people, each one is a precious gift.
@fesshole Farts that make you laugh? There's probably something wrong with me.

Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for alternatives on Reddit; maybe worth pointing to BookWyrm and NeoDB?
Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for... #fediverse #goodreads #bookwyrm #neodb #rssfeeds
Both fediverse softwares that support user reviews for books, both have RSS support natively (no Piefed/Misskey bridge needed), and some comments also seem discontent with Amazon's mismanagement overall.

15 Minuten.

This is your reminder that creating something with your own paws, even (maybe especially) something simple, is a radical act of good in this world. Flexing your creative muscles is good for your brain, good for your mental health. Even if you think it looks like shit, it's *your* shit, and it's a step towards better.
Go make something. Flex the creativity.
This is *our* world.
