Oh no
I am told this person is a serving officer in the U.S. Army, to which I can only say that the standards of the U.S. Army clearly ain't what they used to be
It was bad enough when the chuds missed the point of FIGHT CLUB, but this is even more egregious. At the end of this one Anakin loses everything he cares about and gets roasted like an Oscar Mayer weenie

New, by me: Tech Firms Dismantle Botnet That Turned 1.3M TV Boxes Into Proxies
Google said today it worked with industry partners to dismantle a botnet made up of more than 1.3 million Android TV set-top boxes that ship with malicious software which secretly rents the user’s Internet connection out to strangers and conducts advertising fraud. Experts involved in the takedown say the action is likely to sever the botnet’s access to more than 10 million additional compromised systems, including other Internet of Things (IoT) products such as Android-based healthcare devices and karaoke machines.
@briankrebs The IOT is turning out to be a hackers paradise. This example plus hackers setting freezers and chillers at 50 C in Europe so all the stock is ruined are just two examples. A crntralised Internet is like a centralised electricity generation and distribution network. Vulnerable and high risk.

Always good to keep in mind, when thinking about #BigTech, #surveillance, #tracking, and #dataprivacy, from the ever-helpful @cyberlyra:
The great trick of big tech is they make it seem like it’s all about you, you are targeted for ads that you prefer to see anyway, so it doesn’t waste your time. What you don’t recognize (because you're busy looking at your ads and an internet personalized to you) are the tactics that allows Big Tech to know which ads to show you as a target market, are the same techniques they use to figure out who they think might be an illegal immigrant to send police to their door. In other words, the very fact that Big Tech has detected I am a white woman in central New Jersey, means the same algorithms know how to determine when someone is a Black teenaged boy in Atlanta. And those same algorithms will make sure that young man never sees an ad for college admissions.
@mattblaze no preference on type. Maybe one "fancy" meal in our budget. We can Uber or bus wherever.
@tsherrygeo A couple random recent good experiences: Esther's Kitchen (Arts District, mid-priced eclectic Italian-ish), Anima EDO (Mediterranean, south of strip, pricier but not crazy), Sparrow and Wolf (Spring Mountain rd, priciest but quite good).
Honestly The Pro AI Crowd are just as Annoyin' And Cringe as The Anti-AI Crowd. Real Talk G.
