How many Rimuminbi do you get paid to write this?
PyLova has many features PieFed doesn’t, to the point PieFed is having to copy them poorly such as allowing more than one image in a post.
You’re only saying that because you’re a butthurt .social mod who got banned from every leftist instance. Now that’s cringe.
See what I mean? Look how fast they show up to push these wacky narratives and call people paid shills.
Following that Papyrix's implementation of Liang Hyphenation carefully populates (via another helper) the initial state of a state machine propagating any errors, zeroes out a scores array, iterates over the characters, & iterates over (via yet another helper) the scores to reencode valid ones into possible linebreak indices. Taking into account configured minimum prefix/suffix lengths.
For each char it iterates over all subsequent chars following that state machine.
2/4?
For each subsequent char it checks the "levels" array of the current state & iterates over them if any. For each level it carefully looks up the appropriate offset in the scores array skipping if the offset's too low, & updating the max score for that subsequent char.
During the reencoding odd scores are potential splitpoints, even scores aren't. So the state machine can turn on & off potential splitpoints.
As for how it traverses this state machine...
3/4!

@davidgerard the Surface 3 Pro worked pretty good (the 4 had all sorts of weird build quality issues). My old Dell XPS laptop is still very functional.
Are the new crop of Windows 11 devices not allowing Windows 10 installs?
@huronbikes i haven't tried, but if they don't say WIn10 i assume they balk on it or lack drivers - is that not the case?

PieFed only adds those checkboxes (multiple times now) after huge complaints from users.
The dev is an authoritarian liberal who thinks the best way to run the Fediverse is their way and everyone must accept that.
"Software should be free. The people... not so much"
@Gargron Free Software and the Nazi Bar problem. We should've kicked the Nazis out a long time ago. Now that we're noticing the problem, it's going to be a lot harder (but not impossible!) to give them the boot that they so admire.

Import your Google Maps reviews to Mangrove
Did you review places via Google Maps in the past? @mangroveReviews@mas.to now offers a way to import your past reviews, which means they will also appear in CoMaps in future maps!
This is hilarious.

Never will be? The next version of Lemmy has private votes. Why do you believe otherwise?
Hmm, by next version you mean the upcoming 1.0.0 release? They have implemented private communities but I haven’t seen vote privacy mentioned anywhere. Can you link some source for this?

All 12 of my reviews are imported. It’s not much, but it’s honest work!
Check out my new TLS certificate: yes, Let's Encrypt signed this and yes, it works.

If free software is not about ethics, then what the fuck is its point.
@Gargron Some form of social credit, scoring points, my friend. Haven't you seen all the "open" slop applications around with people trying to go viral. They are not trying to make a better thing. They are trying to make a thing that lifts their ego or status (as perceived by their in and/or out group).

Piefed dev for involved in a disagreement about something, made a post explaining how correct they were, and deleted responses from the b other parties involved.
I don’t remember the details but it’s not constructive to a healthy community.

Rimu made a platform to be as hostile as possible those who don’t fit his image and bans anyone who questions it. But since he’s not the Lemmy devs people here fawn over him as he is worse than anything the lemmy devs have done.
