There was a ... I want to call it a sliver of a rainbow? But I guess it was like a halo or something.
But there were two rainbow-y stripes in the sky that were not connected, and were backwards (red on the right, green/blue/violet on the left)
It was neat. I don't think I've seen that before.
@ajroach42 my first thought upon reading this was "oooh, sundogs?" but it might've been something else in the "ice halo" bucket – still neat regardless!

#TNG S05E12, "Violations". Everyone knows that Lwaxana Troi hacked into the Enterprise computer to make it speak with her voice, but no one will talk about it.
#TNG S05E13, "The Masterpiece Society". I actually like this story, but am compelled to deploy the pun: "Prattlestar Gatattaca".

Denver Post: Crypto foundation demanded employees endorse suicide pledge, then fired leaders who objected, Colorado lawsuit alleges

@ai6yr what the actual ....
Denver Post: Federal judges ordered their release from Aurora’s detention center.
ICE was waiting outside to re-arrest them.
A federal judge ripped into government officials for seemingly flouting her order in a hearing earlier this month
"...When Alex walked out of the Aurora immigrant detention center last month, freed by a judge’s order after more than a year inside, he heard someone yell his name.
He turned. Agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement had been lying in wait for him, he said. They cuffed his hands, and one of them elbowed him in the leg. He was put into a vehicle and, after a short drive, returned to the facility he had thought he was leaving behind. ..."

@ai6yr same here in Minnesota. Ice releases people on Judges orders and then rearrest them just beyond the door.
Judges here are getting very angry with ICE about these rearrests.

@jdp23 This one is not in line with typical liberal Washington State. I did think it was presented in a confusing way on the ballot too.
Hopefully it will be struck down by the courts.
@zimfam agreed, the presentation on the ballot wasn't great. Also, while some legislators did a great job supporting it, the state Democratic party didn't help as much as they could have. Very frustrating.

@Andres4NY ah shit, I still use them as my registrar... any suggestions for a replacement?
@ai6yr WHAT!?!
@bedirthan Yeah, don't get a job over there anytime soon, lol.
@wonofone @Daveography LOL I would much prefer the government not to get involved in spanking.
@ai6yr @wonofone @Daveography They already do whipping prior to a floor vote.

@ai6yr yes! I have been doing the launch day weather forecast for the local rocket club for the last 7 years. The last year and a half, since they reduced staffing and weather balloon launches, has been markedly worse.

@Andres4NY Its incredible how for the vast part "adquired by an equity firm" just means "get out fucking fast because the countdown for the thing to become shit has just begin"
Maab always makes me think of Will Ferrell.
