LOL. Thanks, but no thanks.
I've printed some of the photos I've taken on A4 fine art paper and stocked up on packing tubes. If you like them, you can put them on your wall.
@Gargron All I see is "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker"... heh! (I'm running uBlock Origin Lite). I'll turn it off! Bad Jann... Baaaaadddd Jann! ❤️
@Ayreonaut @FDGL absolut! Mir hat's auch sehr gut gefallen. Sympathische Band!
OK, so I don't use "Google" as a generic term for searching for things on the web. I usually say "web search" or similar.
But I use Duck Duck Go, and to say I "Duck Duck Went" for something is attractive, but unwieldy.
So from here on I think that when I do a web search I'll say:
"I DD Went"
(phonetically: Eye Dee Dee Went)
I just say "duck"
My son is almost 12 and I've suddenly realised his childhood is practically over. It's tough being a parent, but people always said to enjoy it. All the chaos, crying and carrying on - how? Now I realise they meant the tender moments, sweetness and sheer dependency of it all.
For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.
How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

That’s weird, because I remember compiling and running sailfishOS on my Nexuses phones back in the day.
Still, you mentioned that desktop Linux isn’t as secure or as advanced or whatever as Graphene, so I have to assume you are running Graphene as your desktop OS as well, otherwise that would be a really silly statement to make.
@abaa09dab1fc3fffc1409fdb28b13832cd4031704c4df6198525fa7ea466bed2 @Tutanota @chillypenguin It's easily verifiable that SailfishOS has a largely closed source application and user interface layer. You didn't compile the overall OS. This is widely available public information.
SailfishOS isn't desktop Linux and doesn't use a traditional desktop Linux software stack for the user interface or application layer. It does use glibc and systemd but it's not using most of the freedesktop software stack.

Here's why garment factory workers in Bangladesh are striking:
Take a woman working a 12-hour shift in a textile factory in Bangladesh. During her shift she sews more than 150-200 t-shirts for Zara, Levis, Walmart and H&M. Her pay for the entire day? Less than $5.
H&M takes those shirts and sells them to European consumers for more than €20 each. That's over €4,000 in retail value. Generated by her hands. In a single day.
H&M runs massive ad campaigns in Europe talking about "conscious" fashion and "sustainability." But there's nothing sustainable about a system that uses their workers up like a cheap commodity.
This is why Bangladeshi workers are shutting down garment factories all over the country. They aren't just asking for a few extra cents. They are striking for the right to be treated like human beings.

@clacke I have a friend who is extremely sensitive to anything spicy, but she found sichuan pepper pleasant. We both experience it as some sensation different from spicy.
Any cow that is above sea level is technically a Highland cow.
@lowqualityfacts
Any cow below sea level is a dugong.
@feld that's not what i'm proposing. I'm not removing the existing store and forward relay. I'm just saying that dc client could find the relay using iroh. It would require relays to have an iroh public key instead of using DNS. Then DC ids are blablabla@relayirohpubkey instead of blablabla@nine.testrun.org. See what I mean?
@gilahava704 @Rob_T_Firefly So the first implies the second?
@GeoffWozniak @gilahava704 The first name spot is where the crowdfunding campaign had backers put in their own name, and the arrow points from that to a name which the campaign had for backers to indicate someone to whom they'd like to dedicate this iteration of the freaky cyberpunk love story.

Former library assistant here. Libraries are such important spaces, not just to borrow books or study, but also as a safe space, community hub, place to stay cool in summer, or warm in winter, a place to learn new crafts or other skills, and meet new people etc. They're also one of the only places where you can access things for free. Some even have food pantries with free food if you're in need.
Support your local library. They're essential.
Whenever I stay in a hotel I look up the TV Hotel Mode Unlock Code, go in to the channel guide and delete GB News. It's even easier to do in an AirBnB. It's a very satisfying feeling. I recommend it.
@fesshole When a relative asks for help setting up their TV, create a "parental lock" code and use it to restrict the right wing hate channels. Same thing, very satisfying.
