TL;DR
our elections forced Yashar’s hand and they had to accept sitting with the Arab parties. they have a supermajority in the Knesset.

oh no! we're going to need some even tinier violins!!!!!

@blogdiva

@purechaosfit "gothic sidecut" und "gocthic undercut" sind auch super suchbegriffe fuer inspiration 😋

@mattblaze Right. I'm getting recent history mixed up. I'll move along...

@GhostOnTheHalfShell Never mind the stock report -- where are the charts for RAM prices???

@aesthr Ouf. So relatable, I wish you a quick recovery.

Video: Here’s how we STOP Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jeffries from spoiling the 🌊🌊🌊

...go to their social medias and demand they declare that they will not support these two candidates for leaders... Absolutely flood them with re-sharing over and over ...share this video to your stories with your own text... make sure you've signed both petitions... share those petitions with #NoChuck and #NoHakeem ...make these two men the main villains of the internet. Stay locked in.

@jacob I agree, the timing is very much not a coincidence here. But I will also just celebrate the right thing being done all the same.

If you think choosing tailwind forces you into a certain style of website, you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

And you clearly haven’t just used AI for tests. I wonder if the source is closed because you know how obviously AI generated it would look if it was open source?

1. I can't connect to the internet because the DNS server of this hotspot is fucked
2. I can't write /etc/hosts to put the right IP locally because it's manages by NixOS
3. I can't rebuild my NixOS config because I don't have internet

Sometimes I REALLY want to set this distro on fire

lukewarm take, but I want people to stop saying they create "content". that's corpo-speak for feeding the machine. tell me what you make, what you love.

you're not a content creator, you're a filmmaker. video producer. funny-post-maker. actor. you are more than a generic noun. 🦊

It is a real shame that people think that this is vibecoded

we can’t see your source code but the copy on your transparency page sounds like LLM voice:

• “Your feed is people and communities, not advertising.”
• “This is a promise we keep in good faith, not a technical guarantee.”
• “Analytics let people see how their posts, profiles and communities are doing. This is everything they record, and nothing else.”
• “Eight promises:” […]

If you say you wrote some of the code by hand, cool, i don’t doubt it. But it’s still giving slop.

Also, charging money for a “plus” account on a centralized closed-source activitypub implementation is…

Lastly, it’s difficult to reconcile these two statements:

as a software engineer with over 15 years of experience

the core is closed for anti-abuse reasons

😭

@gurkenlabs I don't know. You could plausibly do this without "AI code assistants" by just hiring one single very motivated coder who has very specific knowledge concerning WPF.

I no longer trust anything which doesn't affirmatively ban "AI" contributions in its contribution rules, but if that's a problem then Pinta (the Linux art app I'm using now) is equally suspect.

@amsomniac Yeah, it seems like you need a pretty specific kind of setup for this to be exploitable.

But it's absurdly bad design, and yeah, turning off password login is one of the first steps when I set up a new computer...

Using an area map of districts and shading it according to the winner is grossly misleading.
Huge red areas in the Midwest that have very few house seats. But you get the impression of overwhelming Republican presence in the US. The NYT gives us a terrible example.
Using a square per seat gives you a much better representation. Most of the US districts are Democrat blue. AP has a great example.
