Hey is #ClassicalMusic Mastodon a thing? If you're a classical music aficionado I want to know your favourite *idiosyncratic* recordings of classical music. Anything with unusual instrumentation or arrangement or recording set-ups or anything about it that sets it apart from a straightforward completely faithful performance.

@fdroidorg Does #DejavuBrowser fix the #Android #Fennec bug where it seems to leak storage forever, getting ever and ever larger?
Hey Elon, you could have just sent me those millions and had the same outcome.

(note to self, do not go flying near North Korea)
OPSGROUP: ZKZZ/North Korea There are emerging reports of another unannounced missile test in North Korea today (Nov 4). South Korea (the RKRR/Incheon FIR) has issued a warning via Notam asking operators to maintain a listening watch and follow any ATC instructions. Tension between the two countries has risen in recent weeks following a landmine explosion inside the demilitarised zone on Sep 21. Pyongyang appears to be escalating these tests. Aircraft operating near the ZKKP/Pyongyang FIR and over the Sea of Japan could be exposed to risks that include falling debris. See safeairspace.net for more info. See link for more.
ZKZZ/North Korea North Korea fired around 10 short-range ballistic missiles from near Wonsan towards the Sea of Japan on Oct 29. The missiles travelled around 250km before landing in the sea. This is the third missile launch this month. As with previous launches, aircraft operating near the ZKKP/Pyongyang FIR and over the Sea of Japan could be exposed to unannounced launches and falling debris. See safeairspace.net for more info. See link for more.
@dajb In my job hunt, I was going to apply at Canonical, but ultimately didn't. Props to them for having a non-traditional hiring process...but damn.
@benpocalypse Yeah... 🤔
The form factor for this AI walkie-talkie is a little silly, but I think they’ve got the basics right, especially that it includes cellular. There are so many of these devices popping up.
@manton I could add more functionality, but I've created a simple version of this by adding Android and a custom launcher to my Rabbit r1
🚀 Boost, baby, boost! #Introduction
Been on Mastodon since 2016, but this is a new account and I wanna let folks know.

Too many interests to fit in this toot. 🚴♀️ 🍏 🌳
Happy for the people in the US, but as a European, I don’t want to project too much into it.
I certainly don’t want the relationship with the US anymore that existed before Trump. Europe does not need a daddy who tells them how to behave, and we certainly have our own problems right now.
I’m also not sure if the Dems in the US are pushing for a policy change or just want to go back to the pre-Trump era. To a world that was also controlled by Oligarchs/Corps that led us here in the first place

Enlargement is an investment in Europe’s peace, security and prosperity.
Today we've shared our yearly update on countries aspiring to join the EU, proposing indicative roadmaps for the most advanced negotiating countries:
🇲🇪 Montenegro
🇦🇱 Albania
🇺🇦 Ukraine
🇲🇩 Moldova
Every enlargement has made the EU stronger. Since 2004, living standards in newer EU countries have doubled, life expectancy increased and millions of new jobs have been created across Europe.
Expanding the European Union to include Ukraine would in no way improve peace and security for either Europe or the European Union; on the contrary, it would create a volatile border with the Russian Federation.
It would seem more appropriate for Ukraine to serve as a buffer state between the European Union and the Russian Federation, with as many economic agreements as desired but without dangerous integration into the European Union.
expecting democrats to mostly be shit the next two years, but still happy to see bad things happen to republicans yesterday
ADVICE PLEASE!
A friend of mine who's a designer was applying to Canonical and saw a bunch of questions about their high school performance, etc.
That's super-weird, right? Is/should it be a red flag?
@dajb In my job hunt, I was going to apply at Canonical, but ultimately didn't. Props to them for having a non-traditional hiring process...but damn.
The $0.001 you receive for your online ad "impression" delivered to my eyeballs isn't "supporting" your fucking website, sorry. I know how much websites cost.
What you're actually hoping is that I'll click on that ad. (Accidentally or otherwise.)
Well then maybe you get $0.005 for the click. Maybe you get $0.01!
The ultimate dream, of course, is that at the end of this pipeline I'll buy whatever is being sold on the webpage, and that "conversion click" will be credited to the original referer (you, website) who will be treated to delicious lucre, a sweet, sweet percentage, a juicy one, carved off the top that in aggregate could probably be some real money.
But I'm telling you in advance with my ad blocking software I have no liking for ads, and zero intent to click on any of them, much less buy your fucking toaster even if I did see it.
I'm giving you a signal. One you insist on arguing with me about, trying to gin up fear that perhaps my "experience" on the web is "compromised" by my ad blocker, which could be "impacting" me.
I'm not clicking on your fucking ads. You get next to nothing for showing them to me, and I'm telling you that even if you routed around this somehow and showed me the ads anyway I still wouldn't click on them or buy anything.
Take the fucking hint, Admiral.
Corporate Democrats who have no intention of delivering progressive policy still hold power.
Democrats who indulged in bigoted rhetoric still hold power.
Democrats who ran against progressive candidates using right-wing talking points still hold power.
Democrats who support ICE still hold power.
98% of congress still takes AIPAC money.
Let this radicalize you.
We keep going.
What we did see is that Americans will vote for BIPOC, queer people, women, non-Christians, and democratic socialists, even in historical conservative rural areas, even against incumbent up for reelection. So let’s keep fucking running. Keep pushing. “Electability” is bullshit. Better is possible. We do not have to settle.
@majorlinux I was pretty bummed to see all three constitutional amendments passed.
@nivex I’ll admit they were worded very poorly, but they do that shit on purpose.
I can’t much about other states like Washington, but I know here, people don’t understand what may sound good to them means they are being taken advantage of by the elite in the process.
@MJmusicinears @Remittancegirl “ai generated portrait collage”
When I look up Stratton and Plaskett, they look different and don’t look that identical
@crazybutable @MJmusicinears @Remittancegirl
I was suspicious because the poses were too similar to begin with. Maybe I will make my own collage. I'm sure they all have actual campaign photos.
