Not every message the activitypub can send is suitable for every platform. Reddit style discussions just don’t map to Mastodon.
The most important thing is that lemmy, Mbin, piefed, etc. can communicate freely. You can try to build a platform that does it all but I think it will be messy.

Do we have any Mastodon friends in or near Spokane who could recommend a store that would deliver a new mattress and take away the old one? I need to buy one as a housewarming gift.
the necromancy skill mod adds necromancy as a non-combat skill but clicking on it brings you to the combat ui
some of the skills use the game's normal UI style and some of them are weird transparent hard to read things
I don't pay tons of attention to the LibreOffice daily tips, but this one (that LO has a template option for Master Documents for managing the drafting of long written works) seems VERY USEFUL for those of us, uh, writing long things

I already said I won't get one, and why, in my video "Is the iPhone Duo Worth It? Why I WON'T Get One." This one is for the people who decided to buy it anyway and are now staring at a January date.
The stores aren't much of an option either. Android Headlines, citing Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, reported that "Apple is discouraging stores from selling them in-store," and the reason was simple: "There are very few in stock." The one opening is pickup.
MacRumors reported on October 24 that Apple appears to be bringing back "online ordering for in-store pickup," which it pulled during the preorder rush. That's the option I'd watch.
Then there's the hinge problem. Apple says "a small number of iPhone Duo units" have had trouble with the inner display, and Macworld reported today that there are "numerous reports of Apple Stores swapping out affected units, but Apple hasn't issued an official repair program."

What I wouldn't do is pay a reseller to skip the wait. A phone that folds and costs what this one costs should be the one thing you buy after reading what owners say at month two, not week one. I'd keep my preorder, check the pickup option every few days, and spend the time reading real owner reviews instead of launch-day ones.
Even if it ships before January, that's weeks of free information about a phone you haven't paid for yet, and I'd take every day of it.
@dansup @Punah@loops.video but Dan, shouldn’t it work for logged in users? At least it does so on the web UI.
@punah @Punah@loops.video yeah I will look into that I thought you meant unauthenticatd users
iPhone Duo Sold Out Until January? Don't Pay a Reseller...
Half an hour after iPhone Duo preorders opened on October 16, Macworld's live blog reported that "all iPhone Duo orders are now quoting January 25, 2027 as a ship date." Android Headlines had the same date: "pre-order ship dates are set for January 25, 2027." Macworld added, "Your order will probably ship before then as Apple ramps up production." The live blog's lines are from launch day, more than two weeks ago.

@Cys I’m sorry if my caption offended you. The unfollow and block buttons are right over there, and are free to use, this week only.
(I didn't install that one)

Neat, k3d works with rootless Podman! 🥳

@Punah That is intentional, to prevent scraping!

For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.
How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!
Kalsec: "The Elements of Heat"
With the added bonus of needing different drinks to quench them!
@k_leyton_cooper @elrohir ARBOR PRESS! is what i was trying to remember
