@ai6yr Isn't... isn't that a chain guard, right there in the photo?
@msbellows I think reflectors are required too, but everyone (except me) removes them here because they "aren't cool" (plus they fly off if you are doing mountain biking on trails).

Video: Abdul El-Sayed weighs in on Schumer's Senate Leadership
Q: SHOULD [SCHUMER] BE SENATE MAJORITY LEADER?
A: WELL, WE NEED ACTION. WE NEED LEADERSHIP TOWARD THAT ACTION, AND I'M INTERESTED TO SEE, WORKING WITH THE REST OF OUR CAUCUS, WHAT OPTIONS WE'VE GOT. YOU KNOW, A VOTE IS A CHOICE BETWEEN TWO OR MORE OPTIONS, AND I'M GONNA VOTE FOR THE OPTION THAT GIVES ME THE BEST CHANCE TO GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS, PUTTING MONEY IN POCKETS, AND PASSING MEDICARE FOR ALL.

Statehouse wins give Democrats new power to push clean energy
Democrats erased the GOP’s trifecta edge and gained new power over energy policy.

Godot
Showcase: Diablo (1996) remade in first person in Godot 4, with its original level generator ported to GDScript
Hi Godot folks, Danny here from the Diablo 3D team. We’ve rebuilt Tristram and the first Cathedral level of the original Diablo as a first-person game in Godot 4, and the free demo is out.
A few Godot notes:
- The original level generator is ported to GDScript and outputs a 2D tile grid; a builder turns it into 3D walls, arches and vaulted ceilings at 1 tile = 2 m, so every seed is a new walkable dungeon.
- All game rules live in JSON tables generated from the original data by a Python pipeline; GDScript only implements the formulas.
- The UI is laid out in the original 640x480 coordinates and scaled by one factor, which made ultrawide and 4K support almost free.
- Strict typing (Variant-inference warnings treated as errors) caught a lot of bugs early.
What’s in the demo:
- Tristram rebuilt in 3D tile for tile from the original town map, with all the townsfolk and their original lines and voices
- Cathedral level 1, laid out by a port of the original level generator (a new layout every descent)
- The original combat, monster and item rules (to-hit, crits, block, durability, affixes)
- Warrior, Rogue and Sorcerer: sword and shield, hold-to-draw bow, Firebolt, Charged Bolt, Inferno
- The 1996 interface layout (plus an optional Modern skin), ultrawide up to 5120x1440
It’s free for Windows (1.83 GB, Vulkan GPU with 6 GB+ VRAM). Download and screenshots: diablo3d.com
Happy to answer questions about any of it. Feedback on performance is especially welcome.
Always love seeing cool shit done in Godot - nice work friend!

HELLO? Heres today's clue.

AI is shit, we'll be ripping it out of everything for decades, like asbestos.
I think these are important, but I also think that the vote margin in this election is huge -- ~13% or more popular vote, and something like 80 votes in the House and 10 in the Senate. So, for me, the question is, is that enough of a signal that the Congress actually has a mandate to propose and pass positive legislation that actually helps Americans?
@evan
If the Dems don't take advantage of their majority, they will not be in power after the next election. It's that simple. They must work for ALL Americans, not just the rich ones.
They don't have a record of being any better than the GOP when it comes to sucking up to the very wealthy, or getting much of anything done, beyond revenge.
Take a look at Fetterman. DINO.

I think one of the big disappointments with the Biden Administration is that it was also blocked in this way. Every time progressive legislation like climate change work was proposed, it was locked up by filibuster and other procedural blocks. What did get through, like the Inflation Reduction Act, was unique and rare.
But that's not what the legislative branch is designed to do. It was designed to pass legislation. That's what we elect representatives for; that's what democracy is about.
Pondering scanning the patchset for this release so I can make a web browser where rounded rectangles in CSS are disabled at the engine level https://floss.social/@servo/117564132855819605
Couldn't you do that using a simple extension? Maybe traversing all nodes removing the border-radius? Or a *>*>*{border-radius: 0 !important}?
