Connecting my Web server to a new reverse proxy so it's reachable on the Internet. But mysteriously the new proxy just refused to work no matter what. Tinkered with DNS, tunnel config, crypto keys and route tables for hours without success. Solution: allow the new IP address on the hypervisor firewall.

Both fediverse softwares that support user reviews for books, both have RSS support natively (no Piefed/Misskey bridge needed), and some comments also seem discontent with Amazon's mismanagement overall.

Piefed web interface does stack comments if cross posted, so I’m guessing the poster isn’t bothering to cross post if it isn’t showing that way in Intersellar.

Piefed really is lemmy done right in many aspects

There’s a few cross folk in here, whose comments (I can’t pretend don’t hurt a bit!) do disagree. I’ll just have to have a think how I share on here going forward. The last thing I want to do is annoy anyone, but it takes a user all of 2 seconds to click on my profile here and see I’m deeply invested in the fediverse and have been on Lemmy for years now.

I appreciate your comment, thank you for saying so!

Here’s how piefed handles it using the browser.

@stux 😂

@MLE_online Ah, that's better, I suppose.

@geekysteven

"That's a nice vintage multi-level all-in-one computer desk and printer caddy with built-in bookcase and shelves and gaping deep hole smack in the middle for your 32-inch Zenith from Circuit City ya got there. Sure be a shame if someone put a glass of ice water on it without a coaster so the paper veneer bubbles."

@jalefkowit starts the countdown to when we eventually find out all the fibers in the watersupply crosslink into a single enormous ice-nine fiber when exposed to gamma radiation / some random flocculant / industrial pollutant

Piefed addreses that, as you can see in the other comments.

http://piefed.blahaj.zone is run by the same team as your current instance.

You’re not alone in this wish, though I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you. I sort of accepted it as just part of how a federated reddit-style forum would work, but if there’s a way to address it, that would be very cool.

Oof, I laughed a little too hard

The argument for prediction markets is that it incentivizes rational actors to price events based on a thorough understanding of all publicly available data.

The argument against prediction markets is lmao check out this dweeb economist who thinks gambling addicts are rational

@ai6yr I've seen the resellers. They don't seem desperate. It seems like the Internet just enabled them to get a job that doesn't involve going to work or having a boss

We now provide pre-computed secure private keys for certificate authorities in need

Skimming through it, it doesn't seem to be as accessible for reviews though.
