@selea A wide-angle shot of a live musical performance featuring a crowd in the foreground and performers on a stage. In the foreground, the backs and raised hands of a crowd of people are visible, including one person wearing a white baseball cap. On the stage, one performer stands near a microphone, and another person plays an electric guitar on the right. The atmosphere is filled with thick fog and bright, colorful stage lights in shades of blue, green, and purple that create visible beams. Metal stage trusses and lighting equipment are visible on the left side of the image.

After five years, @rek and I recorded a new video for Hundred Rabbits in which we talk about some of the changes we've made to Pino since our return from Japan, based on the lessons we learned sailing the Pacific Ocean.

@clacke an integral part of the AI project is to blur the difference between humans and machines, and not just by elevating the machines but by degrading the humans

Linux Foundation: "Open Source devs faster with AI"
Source: self-reported. 😕

https://www.linuxfoundation.org/research/oss-development-gen-ai-era-2026

About self-reporting:

- devs think that they are much faster with AI. See the first attached image that plots the with-ai vs without-ai estimates of the data from metr: https://github.com/METR/Measuring-Late-2025-AI-on-OSS-Devs
- But they are not. See the second attached image, screenshotted from the article by metr: https://metr.org/blog/2026-02-24-uplift-update/#other-means-of-measuring-productivity

Self-reported AI productivity numbers are usually badly wrong.

@Mastodon Why the hell would you put the new post UI box at the bottom of the screen on MOTHERQUACKING DESKTOP LAYOUT?

@david_megginson @2003MugishaPhocit

I need to remember to search up my group Halloween costume ideas since I have so many but never remember them in time.

@peterbrown, well, clearly you're missing out on the risk of getting tricked! That's on you!

@davidgerard @bodil this.

I made an arcade game :)

@ArneBab

Did this recently in a meeting, explained why I don't "use the AI" and don't need it and think it's a bad idea and it doesn't do what they think it does, and sucks all the fun out of the job for me ... and got positive feedback at least from 2-3 others, including one who told me in private "I feel the same".

So at least not everyone is truly on board in the same way even where king slop rules

(On the other hand, my attempts to get support for installing a Betriebsrat failed, 🤷)
