Das ist komplett an mir vorbeigegangen.
Dabei muss ich sagen, ich bin gerade „etwas“ irritiert:
„Die Ursache für den Fehler sei ein defektes Teil an einem neuen Server gewesen. „Dadurch war das Netzwerk nicht mehr erreichbar“, so Malessa.
Der Hersteller des Servers habe den Defekt erstmal nicht reparieren können. Stattdessen mussten sämtliche Daten auf einen Backup-Server geladen werden. Das hat Zeit gebraucht. “
Dass ein neuer Server defekte Hardware eingebaut haben kann und dies erst während oder nach der Inbetriebnahme auffällt, kann passieren. Das fällt unter „dumm gelaufen“.
Dass der Defekt nicht sofort durch den Hersteller behoben werden kann, kann leider auch passieren. 2 × „dumm gelaufen“.
Dass es aber statt eines redundanten Systems nur ein Backupsystem gibt, auf das die Daten erst übertragen werden mussten, das ist eine Designentscheidung.
Um dergleichen zu vermeiden, bedarf es keiner externen Beratung, sondern Redundanz.

So the https://masto-fe.superseriousbusiness.org frontend* turns out to have, as an alternative to attaching an image, a UI for just *drawing* a simple image, but either it doesn't work well, or the touchscreen on my Lenovo laptop turns out to be terrible for drawing, or both. Lines don't draw in ways I expect, in ways that seem hard to leverage as "stylized" limitations. I think it's the screen.

I personally enjoy lying on the grass, gazing up at the night sky, and thinking deep thoughts such as "When the person at the theater took my ticket and told me to enjoy the movie I said "You too." I bet they think about that all the time. They must think I'm so dumb."
