Data has to federate, so nothing is going to really be private like you mention. I think it’s unreasonable to expect anything otherwise. I don’t see a point to hiding votes because of this. If someone starts stalking or harassing their voters for some reason, have a reporting system and handle that.

They’re not private at all, I’ve never been under the illusion that they were.

I like it, have some guts, stand on business. If people want to downvote they should be willing to attach their name to it, internet points are fake anyway.

not. at all. i consider anything i put here akin to standing on my nearest street corner during rush hour, shouting into the darkness

confused how anyone could think anything otherwise.

@ChrisPirillo I used to love ICQ I was one of the original beta testers - still remember my number 283066 until the sold it and they took anyone under a certain number and reassigned them new numbers I was SHOOK lol

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Fantastic write-up by Bruno Dias.

"These companies are embedded in all of our lives, but at the same time they have to be understood as hostile and categorically evil entities. At present, they are all heavily involved in the AI push, which is its own novel form of mass harm that abuts, but isn't exactly the same as, the other forms of harm that these corporations are involved in."

"They have chosen a side, and it's not the side of humanity."

Aha I’m not the first to find this apparently, someone already made the Adaptec 2940UW SCSI gingersnap recipe! https://youtu.be/lLvLvSCgGqk

@teledyn @USelaine @ai6yr I can't think of anthing lamer than factory "distressed" guitars. Sorry stuff for posers with too much money.

Worse then pre-worn biker jackets even.

You can't substitute mere stuff for experience.

It's interesting to me how the professional political knowers are surprised by the depth and breadth of the rejection of fascism. I think I saw it coming. I think a lot of people in the fediverse saw it coming.

I don't know who first said it, but I guess the old line about people "not understanding things they get paid to not understand" is true to this day.

@ajroach42 I typically like Kamen shows more, managing 5 heroes who have to get a speaking role each ep makes them too formulaic. Kamens can just have 1-3 guys tag in & out, which is great if you like them.

Jiro in Kikaider is also one of the most likeable robot cool dude fighters in any show ever. (yeah, yeah, Mark likes cryptic Byronic heroes can't imagine why)
