Ahead of #NewMusicFriday tomorrow, I want to give @mirlo a try. I could use some help finding artists to check out. Indie / Alt Rock, Punk, Jazz, Classical. Send me some recs!
@nham exclusively promotes Fedi artists who are on fair platforms (https://nham.co.uk/2026/05/what-is-a-fair-music-platform/) such as @mirlo, and you can filter by genre. Here are releases in the four genres you mentioned:

The 16GB Raspberry Pi 5 now costs $385, up from its $120 launch price

Jonathan Frakes talking about once having to break up a fistfight that broke out of a political argument between Malcolm McDowell (who he describes as "a real lefty") and Dwight Schultz (who he describes as "Fox Network, conspiratorially minded")
Looking at these two actors, I think what he meant to say is he prevented Malcolm McDowell from absolutely disintegrating Dwight Schultz with an orbital laser.
I wanted to know more about the story, but he went right from that to the time he had to tackle a coked-up David Carradine and Patrick Swayze who had gotten into an argument over which one of them could fly while on the 23rd floor.
Half a billion dollars wasted. Inject that feeling straight into my veins. 😆
@carnage4life I'm happy with this result, now he's at least half a billion poorer.

I think a cornerstone of herding these guys off the center stage is to command the agenda from the bottom up.

In spite of all the good election news, we still have to stop selling our excellent Loophole tincture at the end of the month, so now is an excellent time to stock up! It will stay good for at least a year – longer if you keep it sealed and out of direct sun.

Anyone know about Harmony (ActivityPub chat like Discord)?
Federated social app: Discord-style servers and chat with ActivityPub.

I don’t remember hearing of it till now, yet it claims a lot of desired features. Github page shows only one contributor, one fork, 44 stars; lot of commits in the last week, oldest 3 years ago; GNU Affero General Public Licence v3.0.

@sb how do you think it got that way? What I'm asking is, how do I prevent that from happening to my 414?
@alisynthesis
I think you've probably got the gist of it: avoid exposure to obvious things like construction dust, sand, rain, etc. Store in a clean case or pouch. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat or cold. Be exceptionally gentle with it.
Inevitably some dust will make its way inside. Humidity and chemistry can cause corrosion. The rubber shock mount that holds the capsule in place will disintegrate over time, depositing microscopic rubber dust and debris.
In this mic's case I believe it picked up those contaminates during a repair we sent it out for several years ago.
Now we're gonna see Jeffries try to do whatever Jared told him to do
@kiwi Someone's holding blackmail files on Jeffries?
