Almost everything is ready to move my social home to @fabio (@fabio@manganiello.tech).

The new account runs on #Yonder.

Yonder is a social platform I’ve been working on for a while, and I’ll soon write about it more in detail.

It’s an #ActivityPub server written in #Rust and fully compatible with Mastodon and Pleroma/Akkoma, plus with other #Indieweb features I like (support for #Webmentions, and #OpenID coming soon).

Plus it implements features (like on-demand remote fetch of statuses/threads context, support for Threadiverse-like actors, OAuth-based account migration that also includes posts and interactions without needing to move CSV files around, better storage management…) that I’ve wanted in those platforms for a while but I’ve struggled to get merged.

Not trying to defend Apple or anyone else here but some due diligence on this claim seems in order:

Do we know Apple Maps actually did server the more current images at some point and that this was indeed rolled back to an earlier version?

I mean, showing outdated images, especially of Gaza, when newer ones are available is still bad, but it's a different kind of bad than deliberately rolling them back.

@drq Truth be told, it doesn't seem like the Democrats did anything newsworthy (aside from Tallarico in Texas). They just used the momentum when literally everyone got fed up with Trump's bullshit. A typical "anyone but X" voting that everyone saw from miles away.

As for the 2-year mandate they've been given, I do hope they won't spend it *entirely* on trying to put Trump and co. behind the bars (though everyone here would prefer it to be top priority).
