@deadsuperhero Awesome! IIRR when you gave me that join link you said it was for 10 accounts? I've only used it for this one so far, so can I just go ahead and use that?
As well as the official announcement and messaging account for the fediverse.party projects, I'd also like to set up an official testing account for my nascent Fortitude Testing project, which would be made available to the f.p team. Good to keep tire kicking activity separate from official comms work ; ) Happy to share those with WeDistribute and ConnectedPlaces teams too.
For me, the support for legacy fediverse protocols is a nice-to-have, not a deal-breaker. I hope Silverpill's FEP work succeeds in integrating Zot/Nomad more into the AP fediverse. You've seen my comments on the Diaspora forum I'm sure, I'm just as frustrated with their ongoing NIH as you are. I was hoping that spruiking the FEP process there would encourage some reconsideration. Just checked, tumbleweeds ...
Have you considered trying to emulate Wafrn's approach of having an ATProto PDS as a sidecar?
My suspicion is that the AP, ATProto, and Nostr networks will also join at the edges, and eventually merge, just as you posited in your classic WeDistribute article, after the AP spec was finalised, that the OStatus, Diasora and DFRN/ Zot networks would. Keeping open communication folks in he other networks was a big part of how that happened, which is why I'm curious about multi-protocol approaches for fediverse news and guides projects like outs.
But again, it's far from a deal-breaker. The AP fediverse is where I live for now and I'm very happy here 😊
