1. Use the SDR to receive aircraft locations using ADS-B
2. Use the SDR to receive any ham radio signal (HF, VHF, UHF)
3. Use the SDR to receive satellite signals (from space!)
4. Use the SDR to figure out all of the gadgets and devices in your neighborhood... receive weather stations. See the TPMS/air pressure in your neighbor's tires. Monitor when they are opening and closing their garage door, lol.
5. ACARS receiver for aviation
6. If near an ocean, monitor AIS ship positions.

this is one of my favorite kate bush songs, about bess houdini's attempts to contact her dead husband (harry houdini) through seances and mediums with a pre-arranged code -- and her conflicting desires: a wish to actually be able to talk to him, and a wish to help debunk these fraudsters.

Something incredible to see is that so many of the winners tonight are black and brown people, are women, are progressive or democratic socialists. The mandate has been sent. Let’s hope democrats follow through and deliver real change for the working class

I think I'm coming to the conclusion that I will require scripts to implement both decide() and output().
Mississippi does not have automatic recounts. Doesn’t permit candidates to request a recount. Recounts in the state are held only in the event of a court order. 2/
@heidilifeldman Are specific reasons required to obtain such a court order? For example "We have witnesses who say that 30 votes were decided or tallied wrongly?"
I’m reflecting on all the different types of people who won as Democrats tonight. Different genders, different races, different ethnicities, different sexual orientations. Differences in style and, to some degree, in substance. But all recognizably and clearly antifascist, pro-democracy, committed to pluralistic constitutional democracy, rule of law.
That commonality should not be taken for granted. It is the bedrock on which we can build a more just and livable country.
@lifewithtrees I used to have mostly secondhand, but these days very little-- where I live I don't have easy access to much, and no time to spend looking even if there is anything in the small town where I work. (since I'm not the driver- only in town to work and very focussed as fast as possible shopping for essentials, usually before/after work, with occasional quick targeted trips for stores it's hard to get to on that schedule).
@lifewithtrees But I hardly buy any clothes anyway, until things fall apart (work provides work clothes, so I mostly just have to buy socks- which I'm really hard on, it seems, underwear- those last much longer- and undershirts for work, and outdoor work wear at home, but I get pretty long mileage out of that stuff-- I found some of my own old shirts from the '90s that I didn't take to Toronto were here with Mom's/Sis's stuff, so they have been pressed into service..lol
