This right here is why in a two party system you don’t vote for the no chance of winning third party candidate, why you don’t stay home. Absolute nail biter in Mississippi race for U.S. Senate. 1/
@heidilifeldman Yeah! And why “oh, why bother voting, my vote won’t matter” is (yet again) shown to be nonsense! 28 votes, that’s the difference between the two, between Senator Cindy vs Senator Scott
@heidilifeldman even if you THINK you're in a safely red or blue state....
@heidilifeldman Interesting reporting on CNN just now that there are 1500 affidavits that Colom thinks are going to go largely their way.
@heidilifeldman This is why you need ranked choice voting, instead of first-past-the-post.
@heidilifeldman The DSCC and Chuck Schumer refused to invest in Mississippi.
@mastodonmigration @heidilifeldman
This is really Chuck's worst nightmare, he absolutely didn't want control of the Senate
@mastodonmigration The DSCC (I now you meant that) also didn’t invest in Florida. Ugh.
@heidilifeldman Yes. Thank you. Changed it. We can not hand this victory to Chuck Schumer.
Mississippi does not have automatic recounts. Doesn’t permit candidates to request a recount. Recounts in the state are held only in the event of a court order. 2/
@heidilifeldman Are specific reasons required to obtain such a court order? For example "We have witnesses who say that 30 votes were decided or tallied wrongly?"
@heidilifeldman
Thank you for researching that for me !
@heidilifeldman And because so many of them were marked inactive (I just heard it’s because they used the credit bureaus data and marked people inactive who shouldn’t have been) now counting the provisional ballots is going to take them longer.
