@root they also recently introduced a character who's from the 1800s and knew Rell because Rell existed across time and space up until the moment when we released him from his chains
@ben autism? well that doesn't sound quite right, why in the 1800s we simply called the lad quirky.
-the 1800s quest, i imagine
@aphyr I have been using the same pans for almost 20 years. I have a few news sets in mind but its on the list with everything else to buy "when we get a better house."
@biscuit_pup same. My Cuisinart steel pots and pans were essentially perfect. A little rust under one lid handle
It's not just the Senate, House and gubernatorial races that matter. @bolts reports that Virginia voters have approved an end to Jim Crow-era disenfranchisement rules for convicted felons.
while we are here,
ABOLISH ICE
Dorian Gray but it's a portrait of Donald Trump that decays more and more every time a democrat takes a GOP-held district
@hub @ai6yr I had a colleague get hot under the collar when I got an antivirus alert which pointed to a specific file in a specific location on his drive. He wasn’t happy I had information about the contents of his drive on his work computer. I said the antivirus tool wouldn’t be useful if it didn’t provide that info.
I eventually found out (from coworkers, not from snooping his drive) he was conducting a job search from his work computer.
Well, hello again! We'll be picking up the pace after a quiet stretch here. Thanks for sticking around!

@annaecook I hope it happens in his stupid fucking ballroom bunker too. It would be poetic
I hope Jimmy enjoys his win, and will take this moment to stop goddamn texting me.

Fediverse
Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
Two creators I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse are Dash and Gardiner Bryant (both work on The Bryant Review) as their content is really enjoyable.
Sadly they are the target of my post as they shares their content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇
Edit: Added Dash as she was in fact the one who published the article. Also it appears that the issue is only on mobile apps since both the browser of Lemmy and PieFed don’t have it.
Edit 2: Using the Progressive Web App of PieFed seems to have solved the issue for me
My brand new slide rule just arrived!
I don't mean "new to me". I don't mean "new old-stock". No, this is BRAND NEW, from the last company on earth that still manufactures general purpose slide rules, Concise.
This is the Concise No. 300, their top of the line circular slide rule. It has A, B, C, D, K, CI, L, S, T₁, T₂, ST, LL₂ and LL₃ scales. It is 4⅜" (11 cm across), which is very small for a slide rule (my C-Thru is 5" (12.7 cm) long), but the actual scale length is πd, so the outermost scale is equal to a slide rule about 12½" (31.75 cm) long, and the C/D scale is equal to about 9¾" (24.5 cm). My Pickett has scales 10" (25.4 cm) long, so this tiny whiz wheel is comparable to a full-size slipstick.
Despite being made in Japan, this slide rule has markings with Latin characters, allowing it to be used by anyone familiar with a Mannheim-type slide rule regardless of language. The instructions, however, are Japanese-only.
WOW. FLORIDA HOUSE GOES BLUE. Did not see that coming.

THIS IS INSANE
@mastodonmigration IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY
@Binder@petrous.vislae.town sorry to contradict but as an autist I just want decently working search engines
I narrow my question down to it's key points, I get a link to a clear and consistent answer from a 2007 forum, as our lord and savior Alan Turing intended
@BlackAzizAnansi I have doubts it moved many people very far.
@Lightfighter the dems won South Carolina lol
