This has always been the case. Voters vote for what is good for their pockets.
The apartheid in Israel has been going on for 70+ years, a milion Iraqis died since the invasion of Iraq and corruption has always been part of American politics. I can keep going on..
But at the end of the day. People only care about the amount of money in their wallets.
