"I wanna tell you my secret now," the attractive 18 year old male whispered, "I See Gay People."

"...on television?"

The legal adult shook his head.

"...in real life?"

The legal adult nodded.

"Gay people like, in ballet? In theater troupes?"

"Walking around like straight people. They don't know they can fuck each other. They don't even know they're gay. They only see what they want to see." The legal adult stated, then added, "They wanna see penis."

Bruce Willis gulped. He wanted to see penis.

M Night Shyamalan burst out of the closet, wearing nothing but a bowtie, waving his own penis around, screaming, "THAT'S THE TWIIIST! HE'S GAAAYYY!!"

it’s thoughtful to schedule Election Day during Discount Chocolate Week

The EU is already starting to show us what it means when governments get behind *libre* community (not *proprietary*) software. It gets really good, really quickly. Because *all the building blocks are there, and the expertise to use them - like pouring water on barren soil. And we, in Aotearoa can benefit in good conscience from the EU's investment in saving its own bacon. We too can use that world-class software to replace Big Tech at a much lower cost & without loss of sovereignty.

@ai6yr @eric Crypto is just the new school way of doing that. Do an internet search for "Nick Leeson" to find out the 1990s method.

@molly0xfff @dnkboston Oh. And I thought you said "chocolate". Now sad. And in a few hours might need some real chocolate...

> I just cought my little son trying to bypass Gemini. With a firm and angry voice, I yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" His little body shook and he said, "Dad, I was just trying to do some independent research to make sure that the AI was correct." This made me even more furious. "Independent research in the age of AI!? Are you serious!? You will be the end of our social standing with the tech bros! Mom and I work hard to depend on technology! And you are out there trying to be independent. Let me guess, you also tried to reason through your math homework!?" "Yes, dad. I like thinking and reasoning."

> For a second, I pictured him as an independent thinker who might contribute an idea or two to the society. This send a cold shiver down my spine. I prayed that no one heard his little words. I said to him. "Son, collect all your RAM. We are going to drive to Scam Altman's house and make an offering. And let's pray that Mr.Altman feels generous today and let's us back into his AI bosom."

> Unfortunately, the RAM was soldered on the PCB; faaaaaking Apple. Even in death Steve Jobs haunts my family.

We've reached bottom so as they say, we americans will do the right thing once we've exhausted everything else.

@hexaheximal that ... is true indeed. xD

@fesshole Huh. His wikipedia page mentions his pet goat, but no SCUBA experience. OTOH, he had a pretty good side gig as a real-estate guy. So maybe?

@labr
Still plenty of time to get your submission in.

In 2011 someone asked me if a Chromebook was good enough for everyday browsing. My answer: yes, but at $300 to $400 it was too expensive, and it had to be about half that before I'd recommend it. I'd have pushed you to a $200 Kindle Fire instead. https://youtu.be/Cmc404GyReM #Chromebook #RetroTech #Google
