A vote is not a valentine. You aren't confessing your love for the candidate. It's a tactical chess move where you vote for the lesser evil, give none of the candidates incentive to change, and the world you want to live in never happens.

Overheard at a Santa Fe County voting location today. A voter arrived, with his dog. Poll worker checking the voter in asked the dog’s name.
Voter: “Oscar”
PW: “Does Oscar want to register and vote today?”
Voter: “No. He’s a convicted felon.”
🤣
(Note: in reality, in NM felons who have completed their sentences are eligible to vote.)
