it kinda grosses me out whenever something uses the word "themselves" for a statement about a singular character
like is the f key really that scary that you can't press it

@ben@mastodon.lubar.me i like "themself". it's a word with a pedigree all the way back to the catcher in the rye if not earlier.
@aisling it's like they're favoring some kind of english style guide over common sense and pattern recognition
Temple (enby) -> themself
Xaku (plural) -> themselves
see? by not being a shit about it you can transmit extra information without adding more words
