@teotwaki Well, connections probably never hurt. 😅 But I’d rather not speculate about whether anyone is working against me. Some things are better left unknown! 🫣😉
@mczachurski @teotwaki For the record, I have never said anything to NLnet about any other project (including Vernissage), and they have their own approval process, one that can't be influenced by people (people tried to cancel my Loops funding before)

@fesshole Yeah, I'm sure this story can only end well. What with all the medical stuff that requires genetic testing and family DNA testing shit nowadays the odds of this woman's activities being uncovered and blowing the family apart are way, way higher than they would've been a generation or two ago.
@pearofdoom yessssssss! Where is this!

with daylight savings happening in a lot of places, now feels like a good time to remind people that my area no longer does that nonsense, and you may get moved away from my unchanged schedule
how i feel posting this when i havent streamed in over a week:

If that’s the case, securing grants for #Vernissage could remain a challenge.
That’s why your support matters more than ever. ❤️
It’s thanks to your contributions that I can keep developing #Vernissage and making it better for everyone.
Every bit of support makes a difference. Thank you! ❤️
dr jekyll/mr hyde style story where someone runs a photocopier shop but at night they get amnesia and go across town to where they run a different photocopier shop and neither half knows about the other half's photocopier shop
@ben "My repressed, dark desires? Run a photocopier shop where I'm RUDE to CUSTOMERS!"
@lina @Netzblockierer i tested similar projects with this worarround before and i say this.
Every text definition to block ai use dont work wirh chineses models or "flash models".
In the first case, if you ask any chinese model allow it
In the case of the flash models, they just dumb to keep consistency but hood enough to do some basic stuff
@v_raton @Netzblockierer I know, this person is just too dumb to work around it. It's not intended as a hard block, it's just funny that it works as one superficially.
@dalias so is it a myth that you get placed on spam lists immediately if you're not a big player?
I never have. I've been running various mail installations for thirty years, including one I just set up in December. Works fine.

apparently itch only lets you filter assets by no AI used, not games? that's a big mistake
@eniko Even https://hackdex.app allows that!
@dansup@mastodon.social you should tell your partner that you also observe mexican holiday Dia de Los Muertos which is November 2nd. That will give you a couple more days haha
@framon That is hillarious, I will try
There's an episode of Scrubs where Elliot finds an old CD and says "I love U2" and her boyfriend thinks she said "I love you too". Whenever my partner says "I love you", I reply "I love U2". They have no idea. I don't even like U2.

Help with potential fanfiction.lol federation?
cross-posted from: lemmy.world/post/53839835
I recommended the Fediverse to Brennan Kenneth Brown (the creator and developer of fanfiction.lol: fanfiction.lol, which is an alternative to Ao3, but that uses the same OTW software: github.com/otwcode/otwarchive/).
And he told me to go ahead and implement, as well as create a pull request.
The issue is: I know almost NOTHING about the technical side of The Fediverse (lol).

@lina That is frustrating. I was looking about a month ago for a non-slop Live2D like that would run on Linux.
And writing code from the start of a document to the end?
What.

@EscGoat Try this: https://umamo.org
Not feature complete yet but getting there. Azxiana discloses very limited LLM use for planning and boilerplate but it is not slop and I trust her on that.
@alwayscurious @ska We have no evidence of what they use for anything that matters to them. Only what they claim. Even if we could see them using it, we could not see whether there is another layer of actually-trustworthy crypto inside it doing the actual work of protecting the channel.
Having worked in this area: NSA traffic is not meaningfully distinct from other DoD traffic; it uses mostly off-the-shelf shit, with the exception of stuff that's on SIPRNET/SDREN and the like. Those use dedicated endpoint encryption devices which are usually not reliant on whatever the standards bodies are playing with at any given point. They might use TLS inside that tunnel but they do not rely on it for line encryption security no matter what version and/or configuration it might be.

People advertising a "new" Live2D alternative. Authors swear up and down it's not vibe coded.
The entire website reads like LLM speak.
*Looks in .gitignore*
# agent notes stay local, never in the repo

I'm so tired of these liars.
If you're going to unleash your legally dubious vibe coded mess on the world, at least own up to it and stop lying to people.
Edit: I should clarify, their claim is they didn't use LLMs at all. So they are lying regardless of to what extent Claude was involved.
