Pippin, thinking deeply...

Possibly about his favourite 16-bit RPGs... it's hard to say.

⚛️😻 There are a lot of ressource estimates out there about running Shor’s algorithm, but they use a logical qubit abstraction.

Congrats to the Alice & Bob researchers worked with André Schrottenloher on compiling the circuits down to repetition cat codes and LDPC cat codes have more accurate ressource estimations.

RSA-2048: 23k cat qubits in 3.14 days / 611k/1.25h
P256: ≤30k qubits, 1h (p_Z=5e-4, 1µs cycles)

This is just empty talk until the proletariat seizes the means of production.

no child should fear being shot at school

That means you support a robust system of social safety nets to treat the root causes of violence: poverty, homelessness, unemployment, and mental health, right?

That’s not coded language for, “We’re going to pass a feel-good ban that’s logistically unenforceable and only applies to citizens, not our over-militarized police force, further entrenching the police state, and declare the problem solved, regardless of whether it actually stops the violence,” right?

Right?

Imagine being so colonized by the logic of productivity that you treat your own development as wasted labor.

The image in your head is a rumor. No one has the picture beforehand. You find out what it was by drawing it. A prompt does not retrieve your vision but hand a thousand decisions to a statistical average & lets you pick from the leftovers.

Taste is calluses. You cannot judge what you cannot almost do. Curation w/o craft is a food critic who never has been hungry.

@giorgiograppa però gens, només de pensar-ho ja em fa mal.

This quote resonates... especially now.

@stux and, when you receive your Dear Leader's voting reward, remember to donate it to a charity in one of the many countries that you've been screwing over during the past few years. Or decades, if you'd like to go back a bit further.
