AGAINST Ai ART
I do not draw because I need images. I draw to become someone capable of making them. The image is the receipt & the person is the product.
So no, I will not outsource the one part of the process that makes it mean anything. That's hiring a stand-in to do your grieving to ensure the funeral is a success.
Ai users see skill as a toll booth between them & the picture.
I see the picture as what falls out of paying the toll.
We aren't after the same thing.
Imagine being so colonized by the logic of productivity that you treat your own development as wasted labor.
The image in your head is a rumor. No one has the picture beforehand. You find out what it was by drawing it. A prompt does not retrieve your vision but hand a thousand decisions to a statistical average & lets you pick from the leftovers.
Taste is calluses. You cannot judge what you cannot almost do. Curation w/o craft is a food critic who never has been hungry.
